I’d imagine that was part of the issue with her not being able to keep speed with the American. Since she's waxing her skis by herself, they're a lot better. It's like almost everyone there either doesn't know how to wax properly or just takes the easy (and less good) way out. Today, again, she did the exact opposite of the rest of the team and that worked out perfectly. Not winning the race was entirely on her (not meaning that in a bad way, she's very happy and rightfully so), her words were literally "I had nothing to complain about the skis today" Which is not to say the problem is solved, this is still literally the only pair of skis she has now and that's just really problematic with still an entire European season to go. Tomorrow it's the classic sprint and all the best South American women were supposed to be there (for the first time basically), but sadly today we heard Claudia Salcedo and Maria Cecilia Dominguez (who are here since some days and hours respectively) won't start, they'll focus on the 5k and 7.5k later. Wonderful place for some real winter FIS racing at roughly 30 degrees (and that's before noon) If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated!
