heywoodu 13,503 Posted June 26, 2020 #1211 Share Posted June 26, 2020 I restarted watching 24, of which I watched the first few seasons when I was a kid. Interesting to see how some things are so different (phones), while others aren't really (I saw laptops having the same thing for the audio jacks as they have now ). If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Ok, maybe 1 or max 2 points for their song (perfomed in Grand Final) which was good. dcro

If it’s mildly entertaining, I can probably stomach it. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Only last 10 minutes is worthy to watch, so, you shouldn't watch this Even I (as big Eurovision fan) had to stop this two times because I couldn't watch it anymore but somehow I managed watching it to the end
LDOG 2,181 Posted June 29, 2020 #1215 Share Posted June 29, 2020 Finished Dark at last. Yet another Netflix series that should have been finished in less episodes. Liked it better at the beginning when it was a darker Back to the future than at the end when it became a sugared version of Rick & Morty. Didn't like the whole star-crossed lovers theme of the protagonists (had me rolling eyes all the time), but at least they went for a bittersweet ending. I liked the movie, I think the way they capture the „spirit“ of the song contest is quite good. I especially liked the performance of Dan Stevens. I really like Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams, so maybe I am a bit biased. If you don’t like Will Ferrell movies normally than you probably also don’t like this one. It wasn’t his best movie but I would say above average for his standards, maybe on the same level as Get Hard or Daddy‘s Home. Also I actually liked their song at the contest (although/because Rachel McAdams didn’t sing herself) and there are some other great songs, for example Hoppípolla by Sigur Rós. Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.
