Two medals in day 3 along with our first gold. Day 4 may also be another good looking day for us with medal chances in baseball/softball (women's softball), diving (women's synchronized 10m platform), judo (men's -81kg, women's -63kg), swimming (women's 100m backstroke) and weightlifting (women's -64kg).

Set my alarm for 5AM this morning to watch the judo final, assuming Klimkait would be in it. Not the awakening I was hoping for lol, but great to see her compose herself and win bronze.

MacNeil's win was awesome, and had me jumping out of my seat. The men's relay team was a treat too - an oh so close fourth place finish in a day full of them.

Disappointing opening result in women's basketball - we'll really need the win against Spain.

In good news, Pavan-Paredes look absolutely stellar. I haven't had the chance to watch the Brazilians or the American team yet.

Looking forward to potentially a couple more medals today...

The last thing I saw before going to bed was Margelidon's bronze medal match - not the best thing to go out on. It's extremely hard to go for Bronze against a challenger that came through the repechage even if you are ultimately the more skilled Judoka, kudos to her for putting those emotions behind her.

I have a good feeling about today - although I'm a bit cautious about diving since Caeli McKay has had an ankle injury recently.
