So about that Bahrain's affair (last paragraph)

Contrary to some twitter talks, the case was not started after some Antoine Vayer shitposting on the internet , but because multiple hotels managers heard during the last TDF noises of home trainers used at night in Bahrain rooms.

Physical activities during the night will remind us of the heydays of EPO doping when it was used basically for the riders not to drop dead

Yes. For those of you who weren’t around…..EPO increases red blood cells. However, these cells can clot & give you a heart attack. The only way to stop it is to exercise every eight hours. :cycling: So that includes the middle of the night (work it out) at about 01:00 in the morning. Back at the height of TdF doping era about 20 years ago, many teams were somehow smuggling huge amounts of equipment into their Hotel Ibis, Formule 1 etc without being noticed by journalists, race officials, the Gendarmerie etc etc

Ah wow, the good old 'My blood was so thick I'd exercise in the middle of the night to make sure it'd keep moving' story. Those were the days.

Meanwhile, with the Tour de France starting today, is anyone interested in a little game? I think we've done it before last year or the year before, a pick'em game, shamelessly stolen from a Dutch forum. Simple rules:

1. For every stage you pick one cyclist (with the deadline being that day's start time)

2. The classification the rider gets that day, is your number of points

3. Lowest number of points wins

4. You can choose every rider only once during the Tour

5. The worst result will be scratched, to have one chance to miss a stage for whatever reason (or just to have a bad one not ruin everything)

6. In case of a DNF or DNS for whatever reason (or if you pick a rider you've already picked), you get the points that equal the total number of riders who finished that day's stage

7. Everyone keeps track of their own scores

An example how your list could look after 10 days:

Spoiler

1. Kasper Asgreen (4) - 4
2. Alexander Kristoff (16) - 20
3. Caleb Ewan (1) - 21
4. Dylan Groenewegen (40) - 61
5. Mathieu van der Poel (1) - 62
6. Wout van Aert (8) - 70
7. Adam Yates (3) - 73
8. Kobe Goossens (1) - 74
9. Thibaut Pinot (2) - 76
10. Primoz Rogilic (100) - 176
11. Sebastian Langeveld
