dcro 10,179 Posted July 5, 2022 #25 Share Posted July 5, 2022 So we have a historic gold in heptathlon. Well done Jana! Looks to be a product of a sibling rivalry. Her sister Klara held the U18 NR before this year, but in two events this year Jana has raised it by almost 500 points. #banbestmen

Actually she probably would have beaten the CR and maybe the WR if not for her elbow injury. dcro
Jinzha 529 Posted July 5, 2022 #28 Share Posted July 5, 2022 Decent results for the Dutch so far. Gold in the 110m hurdles (m) and 3000m (m) and silver in the discus throw (m), only behind GB in the medal table. Some noteworthy medals for David Pronk with a PB in 110m hurdles and Yannick Rolvink with a national U18 record in the discus throw. But the real deal is Niels Laros, winner of the 3000m. I'm expecting another gold tomorrow when he runs the 1500m, he already took the 1500m championship record in the heats. He's an incredibly talented middle distance runner, way ahead of his age group. I first heard about him when he joined the elite squad in their annual South Africa training camp aged 17 last spring.

Don't we kinda do with EYOF being held on the years that the u18 isn't? Only got messed up due to covid, but next summer there'll be summer EYOF again. phelps 6,855 Posted July 5, 2022 #30 Share Posted July 5, 2022 a lot of hype in Italy for Mattia Furlani and his U18 European Record in the boy's Long Jump (8.04)... and he's also among the favourites in the boy's High Jump (JaVaughn Harrison who?)
