heywoodu 13,499 Posted November 19, 2018 #11 Share Posted November 19, 2018 I guess they registered them just in case they somehow magically do sign the contract, so then they can compete the very same day? If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! heywoodu 13,499 Posted November 19, 2018 #12 Share Posted November 19, 2018 By the way, I wonder how this ban works. I mean, who is going to physically stop them from entering the start area if IBU rules have no problem with them? There is a limit of competitors from one country that can participate so Slovak federation only need to give coach instructions who he can or can not put on the start. I don't know what is the limit for Slovak women but it's not 9, that's for sure.

heywoodu 13,499 Posted November 19, 2018 #15 Share Posted November 19, 2018 I forgot about the team captain's meeting Of course if the coach doesn't enter them in the start list procedure during the TCM, it's a no-go anyway. No worries But in fact recognizing males and females in slovakia/czech rep. is the most easier thing in the world, you just have to watch their surnames women´s receive their father's surname at birth and take their husband's name when they marry. However, the names are not exactly the same; the endings differ to fit into the czech/slovak language's systems of gender adjectives. This means when you see any surname finishing with ová or á it´s a woman. quick lesson: if men´s surname finish by -ý his wife, daughters, sisters (until they marry) will have surname finished by -á example: male´s surname is Novotný his wife or daughter became Novotná male´s surname is Kaliský, Suchý, Rychlý, Hrubý etc... their wifes, daughters surnames became Kaliská, Suchá, Rychlá, Hrubá... in all other cases the females surname finish by -ová. (if the surname finish by a vowel - not ý - you just have to remove it before adding the -ová) example: male´s surname is Cibulka - wife, daughters are Cibulková male´s surname is Fialka - wife, daughters are Fialková Zuzula - Zuzulová Vlha - Vlhová if the male´s surname finish by consonant, it´s even easier, for womens surname you just add ová, without making any changes Poliak - Poliaková, Hantuch - Hantuchová, Dukát - Dukátová, Schmiedl - Schmiedlová, Sagan - Saganová etc... heywoodu, Kirkpatrick and Col_Frost 2

That's alright. Brazil won't be in Idre (IBU Cup 1) anyway and start their season in Ridnaun, the week before Obertilliach. Wumo 2,791 Posted November 30, 2018 #20 Share Posted November 30, 2018 Laura Dahlmeier will probably not return to the World Cup until 2019, according to the German Ski Association (DSV). https://www.sportschau.de/wintersport/biathlon/comeback-biathletin-laura-dahlmeier-wahrscheinlich-erst-2019-100.html heywoodu
