dcro 10,172 Posted April 16, 2020 #21 Share Posted April 16, 2020 Random question. Has anyone here read The Great Gatsby? #banbestmen
heywoodu 13,499 Posted April 16, 2020 #22 Share Posted April 16, 2020 Well-stocked for a period without sports. Finished Stephen King's The Long Walk, now reading his Carrie and then I've still got dozens and dozens and dozens of Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Jeffery Deaver and some others to go which I happened to stumble upon online If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! heywoodu 13,499 Posted April 16, 2020 #25 Share Posted April 16, 2020 I didn't see the movie and didn't read the book (luckily we didn't really have any forced literature in school ), but I did see the Family Guy episode about it dcro 1 If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! I don't know if I'm the right person to ask when school forces me to read something I usually don't like it because I don't like to be forced. It wasn't the worst read though, it's a classic so it's a must read I guess! Olympian1010

Something being a classic doesn't mean everyone would think it's good though Most of these classics sound rather boring to me and I doubt I'll really go and read them @dcro Please do read it and report back If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! hckošice 13,127 Posted April 16, 2020 #29 Share Posted April 16, 2020 Man, this thread is really not for me I hate reading, literally hate it. But I blame our school system for that, they forced us to read some really totally nonsensical and boring books. some of them were good medicine when I could not sleeping though... I guess the last book I read was the 10 little niggers aka 10 little indians aka and then there were none from A. Christie, this was some nice couple of years ago but in other hand I have a very interesting collection of our NOC official Olympics books (All from Seoul 1988 to PyeongChang 2018) + I added to my collection the Grenoble+Mexico City 1968 one and Oslo+Melbourne 1956 book as well, I found in our local antiquarian, and my uncle few years ago gave me the Tokyo 1964 book Olympian1010
