Even if all this gets resolved quickly, this leaves an argument for Russia to get a blanket ban on the next Olympics. Russia has gone through basically every "intermediate" level of sanctions already for unrelated reasons this half decade. The other two times they recently did so didn't really lead to consequences in that regards though...I doubt they will now. prso1000 536 Posted March 1, 2022 #170 Share Posted March 1, 2022 I am really sorry for the innocent Russian athletes. but I am also convinced it is the right thing to ban Russia (and Belarus) as it is one way to make the Russian public aware that something is going wrong. There are still too many people in Russia not even aware that something is going on. Maybe they will notice when Rusdia is banned from all sporting events.
