It won't be reallocated I think. It will likely go unused. How stupid ---- There appears to be gold reallocations as well after the list was finalized lol. AFAIK, :ISV, :BAR, all received reallocated spots mrv86

Any news about this last one @intoronto Interesting at shooting. The entire quota was not used, so those 3 spots won't be reallocated. Table tennis also loses a team quota. That's interesting. Must be an injured player after entries closed, meaning no reallocation. However, if it was declined, it should have gone to followed by , and all of which did not name an additional (or any) female table tennis player. mrv86

Well, then they will have to make some modifications for the women's team event... they were planning on using 4 groups of 3 teams each.

mrv86 2,852 Posted July 5, 2019 #735 Share Posted July 5, 2019 Mexico's flagbearer is going to be Jorge OROZCO (Shooting), our first qualified competitor for Tokyo Good decision... he won't compete the next day, he's not a favorite so he has no pressure and it's a nice touch to give him that privilege. That alone would attract everyone outside of the very best and even then, I imagine some would swing by too. thiago_simoes

It honestly makes no sense that Golf and Tennis at the Olympics don't count for their respective rankings. The Olympics used to be the equivalent of an ATP 500 event in terms of rankings, which at least made sure the people who competed at the Olympics didn't get punished in the rankings. Some marginal PGA player skipped Rio for that reason - he was in danger of losing his PGA card (so basically his livelihood) and he couldn't afford to skip any PGA events.
