phelps 6,858 Posted November 23, 2021 Author #45 Share Posted November 23, 2021 COVID-19 PROTOCOL ANNOUNCEMENT: LUKKO RAUMA – HC BOLZANO CANCELLED The Round of 16 Return Game between Lukko Rauma and HC Bolzano, scheduled for Wednesday evening, has been cancelled as a precautionary measure set by Finnish authorities as a number of players of Lukko Rauma are unavailable due to the Covid-19 protocol. According to the protocol, the CHL’s Covid-19 committee will consult and decide on the consequences. The CHL will inform on the outcome in due course. “Covid-19 Protocol Related Absences” in the CHL can be the result of a number of factors including, among others, an initial positive test which remains unconfirmed until confirmatory testing is completed; mandated isolation for symptomatic individuals; required quarantine as a high-risk close contact; isolation based on a confirmed positive test result and/or; quarantine for travel or other reasons. phelps 6,858 Posted November 24, 2021 Author #49 Share Posted November 24, 2021 COVID-19 COMMITTEE DECISION: LUKKO RAUMA – HC BOLZANO After the cancellation of the Round of 16 Return Game between Lukko Rauma and HC Bolzano, the CHL’s Covid-19 committee has consulted on the case and decided on the resolution: "For the affected Round of 16 matchup only the result of the first game will be taken into consideration. Since Lukko Rauma won the game 3-1, the Finnish team will advance to the Quarter-Finals." For clarification: Due to the tight international calendar there are no additional Game Days available in the CHL to make up postponed games as is the usual procedure in national leagues. The Round of 16 Return Game between Lukko Rauma and HC Bolzano was originally scheduled for Wednesday evening and has been cancelled as a precautionary measure set by Finnish authorities as a number of team members of Lukko Rauma are unable to participate due to the Covid-19 protocol.
