Jan Linha 470 Posted March 14 #81 Share Posted March 14 I am wondering how would IOC, ITF and the tennis players react if, for example, they released Women's singles draw and first round might be for example Kostyuk vs. Sabalenka . I hope the players will ignore the political part and will fight for their dreams and won't withdraw if they have to play against each other. Ukraine and Russia never stoped playing in the tennis circuit and now are regularly facing each other in judo, fencing and some other sports. I highly doubt it will be an issue. Israel for me is more likely to cause concerns/issues when facing arab nations. We could have a very interesting Israel vs Morocco in football. Federer91 2,134 Posted March 24 #84 Share Posted March 24 You could cross-out Grigor Dimitrov from the list, as his ego is bigger, than the Olympics. I had abandoned tennis as a sport, where we could have a participant, but the recent good results of Viki Tomova have put her in the top 70. Still lots of tournaments to go and tennis rankings are very up and down, when you are after top 30-40, but i would be really happy for her, if she manages to sneak a quota. JoshMartini007 2,204 Posted March 28 #86 Share Posted March 28 Looks like Angella Okutoyi is going to try and get that top 400 ranking. She's registered for 6 tournaments in April/May.
