Covid Cases at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games

I don't know how someone can be against science (vaccination in this case) in 21st century

according to our NOC president, nobody in our delegation even had to think twice about getting the vaccine.

but what worries me is that some of them didn't really follow the COVID protocols in past couple of weeks. (probably stupidly thinking they are 100% safe with the vaccine)

no problem so far but it's always possible to have the next positive case in our delegation

Apparently all three Dutch cases (skateboarder Jacobs, taekwandoka Oogink and a rowing team staff member) were also on the same flight to Tokyo. The flight included tennis players, road cyclists (I think the men's team) and the hockey men's team. Honestly feels like disaster waiting to happen. Stupid stupid coronavirus...

Do we know if any of the three infected were sitting near each other. At least so far all three are separate sports.

The flight landed several days ago so most infected on it should test positive by Saturday if infected on it.

Yesterday someone somewhere posted a link to the Olympics website, where one could find daily PDF's (only one as of yesterday) with detailed information about positive test numbers (anonymous, sort of). Can't find it anywhere though, anyone got a clue? :d

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Rower Finn Florijn :NED has tested positive and is out. At least he managed to row in the heats this morning...

Bigger worry: what about the rest of the rowing team in the next few days?
