well, let´s wait for the exit medical exams first to be official, I mean, he missed a couple of training sessions throughout the season but in other hand since he played all 82 matches his health can not be so bad, and this post looks promising
and just being confirmed by the Montreal Canadiens (that was really quick from them. Chapeau et Merci les Habs !)

They are both decided at the same event. The last chance quotas takes priority, then the emerging nations quotas are decided.
I see.
Well, thanks. I do not have any expectations, as I have zero clue about this whole topic, and I do not have any idea about the level of our sailor and how big are his chances, but I assume it must be quite low (both - his level and his chances to win that free gift quota as well)

And now, for Emerging Nations Programe.
If not qualified, the best placing in each event of the following NOCs would get a quota according to the qualification process:
Men's IQFOIL (1 quota): (Cariolou) (Roolaht) (Coelho) (Lee) (Jasiunas)
Men's ILCA 7 (2 quotas): (Kempe) (Rammo) (Strelciunas) (Huang) (Slimani)
Women's IQFOIL (1 quota): (Puusta) (Coelho)
Women's ILCA 6 (2 quotas): (Rohiu)
The names in parenthesis represent the names of the athletes of that country that are in the program according to this PDF (https://d2cx26qpfwuhvu.cloudfront.net/sailingparis2024/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/13184801/Paris-2024-Emerging-Nations-Program-Athletes_20230830.pdf), but other athletes from that country are are also competing in the event.
I don't know if only the athletes in the list can won the quotas, or any athlete from the countries in the list can do it.
At the end of the whole qualifying period, right ? Not in this race ?

ENTRIES FOR THE QUOTAS:
Men's IQFOIL (6 quotas):
Is it the guy who is/was aiming for that emerging/development or whatever it is called nation quota ? How is he doing in it btw ? Is this still realistic or completely utopic ? Is it still worth to follow it or I can already forget about it ?

If Salkazanov qualify to Paris : 1 medal
If Salkazanov fail to qualify in the final wrestling world qualifier in Istanbul next month ? 0 medal

During the "100 days to go" special press conference of our NOC, among other stuff like presentation of the Slovak Olympic House, the Olympic festival in Bratislava during the games and other nice activities and programs the guys also stated the obvious fact we will send the smallest team ever to the Olympics since the independence (winter and summer games included)...but also a quite competitive (without announcing any special medal expectations though)
however, they are apparently expecting 30 athletes in Paris... I really do not know from which hat they are going to pull them though... because IF IT will be just let say close to 30 they will certainly already deserve to be called magicians... personally I do not believe we will exceed 20 athletes, maybe by 1 or 2 in case of reallocations or unlikely invitations for our nice eyes, if you ask me
