nah, usually they used all 9 lanes in canoeing sprint at the olympics untill London, I thought London was only an exception because Eton Dorney wasn´t quite wide...but maybe yes they just changed the rules, in fact I can´t find any information how it will be in Rio... but however, even if there only 5 lanes, everyone should get the point about what Is the question..at least I hope

oh man, you are definitely not alone to wait it I am eagerly waiting these two nice weeks of detox too, just the idea that I do not have to spend the whole day with mathematical exercises counting and re-counting the quotas of more than 200 countries around the world is absolutely fantastic. but yeah, however it´s hard, I´m the happiest man in this planet because I certainly have and is doing the best job in the world

Assuming we still haven´t received any info from FINA about any eventual invitation (which is a bit sad, because I hoped for a quota for our young Andrea Podmaníková in 200 Breaststroke, she nearly missed the OQT 2 times, but unfortunatly it looks over for her) our final amount will be 52. still fine, it´a sctually 5 more than in London and we surpassed the magical barreer of 50 so it help to have coaches for all athletes in the team, which wasn´t always a case (again I´m speaking about London)

all NOC´s must send the list of their teams 18th July, after this date you can replace athletes only in case of serious injury.

well, we had the same problem too in 2000. there were a huge euphoria after SVK qualified for the first and last time in mens football as 1 of the 4 european berths. everyone celebrated the team with some interesting players, but the games were scheduled in september, and suddenly any club wanted to release players, because our "super mega big clubs" wanted them to play in the european clubs qualifications...so in Sydney we played with, not sure right now, but only something 5-6 players from the squad of the EURO U21 2000...ofc the team finished last in the group after 2 defeats with Brazil (1 goal against us was scored by Ronaldinho btw) and Japan...but with one very surprising win over South Africa it´s still incredible that 16 years passed and this sport has still the same problems at olympics
