yeah tell me something about we have 4 swimmers which reached B standards and many times, but ok we knew the rules, but must say that waited and were sure (not saying only me, but all slovak sport sites and our swimming federation) that one of them our young swimmer Andrea Podmaníková will receive invitation in 200 breast, somes counted also in 100m breast, because she really nearly missed the A standard 2 times, but unfortunately it doesn´t worked, and we are probably the only country in the world it seems with Algeria too to didn´t received any invitation

yes but the B standards, doesn´t mean that the swimmer is qualified, he/she must wait how many for FINA confirmation. there 900 quotas awarded overall in swimming, you must deduct all swimmers with A standard per max 2 from 1 country in all events, then also count with all tripartite (universality) invitations for "small" countries with any qualified athletes, only then FINA send invitations for the remaining quota places to swimmers with B standard, and you understand that there not many remaining places to offer, thats the reason why in some events only 3-4 swimmers with the best B times were invited

well, I´m still for the intermediate sprints. only for one reason, this is not a best sprinter competition or so, remember the green jersey is officially a point race competition, and one who collect the most points during the race is the winner, so there need to have points here and there also during the whole race, not only in the stages finish. but I am more than agree with the points you mentioned for the flat stages arrival, much more fair

i understand your view, but you know that its mainly the intermediate sprints in the mountains stages which are the Sagan strongest card and which make the difference but yes, well, you know that they changed the rules because Sagan won easily the green two years in arow, so suddenly they made 50-30-20 points system in sprint arrival, just to make the competition harder and as they say more interesting, (which is very unfair, if you finish third you are already 30 points behind, so it´s why there need also the intermediate sprints in the "lumpy" stages to give all kind of racers more or less the same chances. but sure, I would more like if they returned back to the previous system. but no chance for that, now I´m really wonder what they will invent for the next seasons, maybe 100 points for the flat stages winner and 50 for the second
