  1. Thanks Wang Yang he is certainly one of the above average table tennis defenders. but I really don´t like his style, even if he time by time on his great day can bring us some interesting results and beat anyone, he has also the really frustrating tendency to give up too early, like he did in Rio 2016 during that match against Quadri Aruna.... Barbora Balážová is argaubly our best athlete in this sport, maybe in all history, she has already achieved several successes but in W Doubles with her Czech team mate Hana Matelová if I´m not wrong, but I had really no single hopes she can reach such success altogether with Ľubomir Pištej in the mixed doubles at a major worldwide event.
  2. 2 wins from 6 games for our Team. not bad.despite a very bad start, after the expected loss to Kristin Skaslien/Magnus Nedregotten PC 2018 Bronze medalist from SVK-NOR 0-10 our team had to concede 3 more defeats SVK-EST 3-8 SVK-GER 1-6 SVK-SCO 2-11 and then finally came 2 wins SVK-LTU 8-7 after extra end and SVK-MEX 14-3 Last game for our team Marek Sýkora and his sister Silvia Sýkorová, and our last match at the tournament is scheduled for tomorrow against Belgium.

  4. Belarus will be without doubt the top favorite of the tournament, but the battle for the second spot should be open, between and host Kopitar may be the decisive difference factor for Slovenia.
  5. I would never imagine to say something like that, but I just found that a mixed pair is right now in the Quarterfinals I mean, like... it´s too late for a April fool ?

Well, there will be apparently a cam in our rest room to introduce images of the atmosphere before and after the matches in our rest room, but I doubt they will put one also in the shower Well, you know, that´s the biggest sport event ever held in our country (besides the 2011 World Champs ofc ), we don´t have many other events organized here like for example in Italy for almost every sport

  23. only once since 1996 when our A team and our Under 20 team all won their Pool B (nowadays Division I) Tournaments (After the split of Czechoslovakia, Czech Repulic acquired the succession rights in the top division, Slovakia had to start from zero in Pool C, both our teams won respectively in 1994 the Pool C and in 1995the Pool B tournaments) and from 1999 (The inaugural edition of the Under 18 WCh, there Slovakia was placed immediately in the Top Division) our men´s hockey team had to experience the shame of relegation and it was our Under 18 team in 2011 (fun fact it was the year we organized the seniors WCh, this year our U18 is again close of relegationand again in the year we are the seniors WCh host lol) the team won the next year the U18 Division I A anr returned immediately into the top division, but after todays fiasco, our U18 is again very close of the relegation. unbelievable and embarassing..todays WCh format allow you to prepare your team for one the most important match, you can train, prepare you for this game the whole year ! We knew our only main game is the match vs Latvia, win this game and we avoid relegation and play the QF and everything is OK, but... we just incomprehensibly failed.. anyway congrats Latvia. now we have to play the relegation round series a best of 3 matches against one of or , if we´ll play Switzerland, maybe there a chance to win 2 out of 3 matches, but if we´ll play Finland. it´s game over and we´ll experience our second relegation in our men´s hockey again by our U18 team
