Still have a lot to watch, especially international movies. Now that Oscar season is over, I'll try to catch up. Some of the films in my watchlist include: The Boy and the Heron, Close Your Eyes, The Delinquents, The Goldman Case, Green Border, La Chimera, Menus Plaisirs - Les Troisgros, The Missing, Origin, The Taste of Things, Tótem.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on those three at some point. La Chimera and Tótem got overlooked during awards season, but both I thought rather highly of both. La Chimera is one of those films I find myself thinking about for a long while after my first watch.

The Bolivarian Youth Games are also coming up next month as well. Website: https://www.sucre2024.org/home/

earned their first quota (or quotas) for the Games.
Wushu (Sanda) quotas now shown on the qualification page: https://www.theworldgames.org/editions/Chengdu-CHN-2025-14/qualifications/by-sport
I'm a little confused how quotas were distributed, given that one women's weightclass has 8 quotas awarded, but another only has 3 quotas awarded

This would get 12 points from me in an instant.

If anyone is interested MEXFEST '24 in Spotify includes the songs I considered at one point for this edition.
Would love to read some thoughts about it.
As a whole, I could see myself listening to this playlist while cruising down the coast. It has a great vibe. However, given the time of the year the vote takes place, and the ability of songs to stand out, I’m really sure what could and couldn’t get points from me.
My favorite is probably “Óyeme Bien” by La Garfield. “Fuego” by Zaret also stood out, but it might have gotten lost in the crowd during competition.

Joking aside, as popular as Billie is, her Barbie song is too low-key for a song contest to win.
Yeah, that did cross my mind, but then that song kept winning everything, so we decided to send it anyway
Olivia Rodrigo's "Vampire," AJR's "Maybe Man," and Lana Lubany's "ON MY WAY" were the other three finalists after the first round of consideration.

My personal votes and thoughts -
- 12 (One of the clearest winner picks for me. Great vocals, visuals, arrangement. Plus, the Maori segments are beautiful. @Wanderer)
- 11 (This was the only other song considered for my 12 points. It caught my attention quickly as well. It stood out from everything else, and the lyrics were interesting @Vektor)
- 10 (I think we might have some overlapping taste @Vic Liu. I liked the "throwback" nature of this song, and the lyrics/video were fun.)
- 9 (Just a fun, catchy, lively song. A nice ode to one's homeland @kungshamra71)
- 8 (I like the risk you took with this @hckošice. It has a great message and stood out from many of the other entires.)
- 7 (This is similar to some music I listen to more frequently. There was just something about it that keep me thinking about it @Wumo)
- 6 (A nice dance/party track. It got points for the integration of Maltese @Glen)
- 5 (Eley has a really good vocal. The song is a great pop track @Werloc)
- 4 (Retro in a way that was fun and stuck out @Henry_Leon @Gianlu33 @Pablita)
- 3 (Definitely an artist with a lot of promise @Hipooo)
- 2 (This originally feel outside my points, but creeped it's way back in. The vocal is nice and lyrics are interesting enough @Benolympique @Bohemia)
- 1 (This got me to move, and it was fun, so finally some points for you @konig)
- R1 (Catchy, but just under the line for points @mrv86)
- R2 (This almost snuck into the points. I'll be interested to see how she does at Eurovision @NikolaB)
- R3 (Great vocal, a nice country vibe. I just couldn't find room for it in my points @Fer GUA)
- R4 (I couldn't find the translated lyrics, and that hurt your chances for points @justony. The song was interesting, but I couldn't undertsand the message.)

The scoring of "What Was I Made For?" is very interesting to me. People either liked it a lot, or not at all it seems. I wasn't sure how it would play. Now I don't know how much insight I can glean from this from future contests.

repeat winning in would be so on-brand for TISC

Thank you @Werloc, I’m really shocked to be in your top 12.
I woke up huming it one day. It wasn't my favorite, but it was undeniably catchy.
