1944 is easily one of my favorite songs to come out of Eurovision.

Petra Mede and Mans Zelmerlow showed us what peak presenting is and it's only been downhill from there

My issue was that I like the recorded version more than the live performance. It’s already been on my playlist for months. It’s the best outright, just not this evening.

So we got 3rd or 4th by televote, awesome

is my top 5. It’s the lyrics and presentation for me. 

One of the main thing about non-South-African African riders in general: they often lack any sort of situational awareness in terms of riding in a peloton, we've seen that for 10+ years now, especially since the emergence of the Eritreans.
 
Which is not something they can be blamed for, by the way, since it's something you do really need to learn and you can't learn in relatively small races in Eritrea and such. It is improving, so that's good. And to be fair to Girmay: his team this Giro is just...not good, at all. They could have fairly easily made sure Demare wasn't even in the sprint yesterday, but other than going to the front for a few minutes in the long descent, they didn't do much. Then Girmay had to find his own way once again and lost way too much energy.
 
In terms of positioning, it was drama, much like Van der Poel. He didn't even really get to sprinting because he was face-first in the wind with 700m to go already. Mass sprints are not his thing, and not because of the legs.

Wow the “extreme” kayak qualification system is a joke.

After the Winter Olympics and a longer break, I'd up for a new season of my quiz in the near future.
I wonder if there's some interest again.

I offer my congratulations to @Cobi on Spain's win and to @OlympicIRL, @Cinnamon Bun and @Quasit on their medals. 
 
I want to thank everyone who voted for Greece, I'm glad you liked our song.
 
Also, thank you to our teammates in Gyor Rivers who helped us earn a 4th place in the team event. We were close to a medal there, but 4th place is a great result.
 
And of course, a huge thank thank you to @Vektor who hosted a great contest throughout.

I can say I voted for all top three songs, but as I was the only one in our jury who voted for Spain and Ireland, my points were not enough for these songs to receive any points from Greece. 
 
Great Britain got our 12 points by earning a total of 21 points, 7 per jury member and that's despite @Makedonas didn't give any points. 9 points, 3 per jury member were needed for a 12th place finish.

Hey beautiful people, i am very disappointed, that i had to miss the contest, but something unexpected came up this past week. And it was another fantastic and enjoyable contest by the looks of things.   Spain with a commanding win to my biggest pleasure, as it's probably the country to which i have given the most points in all of my participations. There is always something to their songs, that resonates with my taste.   Well deserved win for @Cobi and very much looking forward to his hosting next time. 
 
Also, big applauses for @Vektor for his tireless work these past few months, from stepping up hosting, to organizing and executing the contest perfectly.   
 
Great effort from my team members @OlympicIRL @Griff88 and @Illya on getting a bronze medal.  Especially after stumbling in the first round, that was some fight through the repechage rounds! The historians will speak on this, but i think this may be the first time i get a medal in the music contests 
 
And finally, but not least, big Thank You to everyone who enjoyed and/or voted for the BG song. This time more people than usual and it's nice to be on the left side of the table for a change.  Virtual bears and cookies for all
