Here I'm glad I'm studying political science with focus on European politics. Duma is Russia, Knesset is Israel. Eduskunta is Finland and Sejm is Poland. A is my answer. Some Polish-themed questions in these last editions of the quiz.

A big congratulation to all the medallists, @Agger, @hckosice and @sami-eg

@Agger tops the podium with some good Top 3 predictions. Congrats with the gold medal.
A very good second place for our Slovak predictor, @hckosice Making his nation proud in handball...prediction contests. Congrats with the silver medal.
Last spot on the podium goes to @sami-eg who has been in the best part of the standing throughtout the contest. Not the best Top 3 prediction costed him the gold medal. Still a big congratulation with the bronze medal.

    @ady48, @heywoodu, @Monzanator gets an honourable mention with a 4th, 5th and 6th place.

Lastly, thank you to all who participated in this prediction contests. This was the last prediction contest for 2020. I would like to thanks all those users who participated throughout the this year. 2020 was a very different year in many aspects. Let's hope 2021 will be the year where we get everything back to a more normal situation.
I will publish the final standings for the 2020-season this week. I have also presented the suggested contests for 2021 in the Discussion thread. Hopefully most of them will go ahead as scheduled.

I will wish a Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it and happy holidays and a happy New Year to all of you.

    Ufilov   George_D  africaboy

A suprising and exciting Giro d'Italia overcame difficulties such as positive COVID-19-tests among riders, whole teams withdrawing, rider protests and difficult weather conditions. But in the end, they reached Milano to complete the 103rd edition of this traditional Grand Tour.

The last day in these cycling prediction contest can shake up the podium with the many points coming from the classification predictions. And once again, there were some big changes due to these.

On the top of the podium came @Ufilov with solid stage predictions and a massive score from classification predictions, he secure a solid victory with 18 points down to the second-ranked predictor. It's his first gold medal of the year and he becomes the foruth Polish predictor to win a medal in 2020.  A huge congratulation to @Ufilov with the impressive win and gold medal. Congrats!

A predictor who really benefited from his classification predictions was @George_D. Before the last day he was ranked 12th overall, but with scoring the second highest amount points from the classification predictions he jumped to 2nd place in the final standing. Scoring 100 points precisely he was only one of two predictors to achieve a triple-digit point total. Just like our first placed predictor he wins his first medal of the season and the first medal for Greece this year. @George_D has been close to win a medal this year, so a big congratulation with the silver medal in this contest.

In 3rd place we have a very familar face in these prediction contests. @africaboy once again showed his great prediction skills as he secured yet another medal. He was placed 1st before the last day. But with less succes in the classification predictions than his two co-predictiors mentioned above, he was in the end placed 3rd in the final standing. It's his first bronze medal in 2020 and his fourth medal this year! He becomes the first predictor to achieve this in 2020!   With these last results he is really in contention to win the overall title as the best Totallympics predictor of 2020. Once again, a big congrats to you, @africaboy. Impressive!

With all the plaudits @africaboy received above it has to be mentioned that he was tied on points with the 4th-placed overall. @Agger scored some solid points from his classification predictions and ended up tied on points with the 3rd place. Unfortunately for him he lost due to the tie-break rules applied. Still, another good contest from him as he continues his successful 2020-season.
Only one point behind 3rd and 4th place was 5th-placed @ady48 who once again had a very good contest. After winning the last contest he probably had hoped to collect another medal. This was not the case this time but a 5th place overall once again shows his great prediction skills.
Last honourable mention goest to the current leader overall, @toulousain. After not achieving the best results in the last contests, he is now back in the top part of the standing in a prediction contest. A solid 6th place to him. Well done!

Lastly, big thank you to all the users who took part in this prediction contest. Vuelta a España has just completed their first week of cycling and well continue tomorrow, and hopefully the next two weeks, with many great battles between the riders. Hopefully the race will reach Madrid. But unfortunately nothing is certain in these times. It was the plan to have a prediction contest for the Women's Baseball World Cup here in November but WBSC has announced this tournament will be postponed to next year. However, on a more positive note UWW has announced its intention to hold its World Championships in December in Belgrade. It could possibly be a prediction contest running alongside the Women's European Handball Championship in December.

After another astonishing performance by Rafal Nadal on Court Philippe-Chatrier last night, two weeks of clay action from Paris has come to its conclusion.

The predictor who is coming out on top of the podium after these 15 days tennis is @ady48. After being really close secure medals in the last prediction contests, he can now finally celebrate winning a medal. And one of gold, even. He has been in the top of the leaderboard through most of this contest with great predictions and good scores each day. It's his first win and second medal this year. Huge congratulation with the victory and the gold medal @ady48!

In 2nd place, just behind his fellow countryman, is @africaboy. He was only 3 points shy of 1st place. He even topped the standings on some days. However, here on the final day, he must see himself receive only a silver medal. A very deserved silver medal that is as he has been in the top with his fellow Romanian predictor throughtout most of the contest. It is his second silver medal and third medal overall this season. Very impressive! Another great contest from @africaboy. Well done and congrats with the 2nd place and silver medal!

It has really been a dominant performance by the Romanians predictors this contest. But the last spot on the podium will not go to a Romanian. Totallympics' Kiwi and tennis follower, @Wanderer, ended with the last spot on the podium. After a close battle with another big tennis follower, @rybak, he was the one who secured the bronze medal. First medal for him and New Zealand this year. You will receive a big applause for your predictions in this contest. Congrats with the bronze medal, @Wanderer! l

As mentioned before our Polish tennis enthusiast, @rybak, was in a long and close 5-set match against @Wanderer. Unfortunately for him that had to be a loser of this great match, and it was him unfortunately. But despite of that, a very good contest for him and a very great 4th place overall. I hope he can find some consolation in Swiatek's very impressive win and tournament.
After not competing in a Totallympics Prediction contest for some time, @stefanbg made a grand comeback with a superb 5th place overall. Well done!
Last honourable mention will once again go to, @Vic Liu. Another great tennis prediction contest from your side. Last time a 5th place and now a 6th place in this one. Impressive!

Lastly, big thank you to all the users who took part in this prediction contest. Giro d'Italia is well on the road and another Grand Tour will soon start with the Vuelta a España next week. The thread for this contest is planned to open this week. After those last cycling prediction contests have been completed, I have planned two more contests this year: Women's Baseball World Cup in November and Women's European Handball Championship in December.

All of the contestants who have made their classification predictions (15 in total), except one, had Geraint Thomas on the podium overall. And many had him to win. 9 to be exact.

But more interestingly, though not suprising, every single contestant, except one, had Aleksandr Vlasov to win the white jersey.

An exciting Tour de France has come to its conclusion and the different winning riders could celebrate their achievements. Let's see which ofTotallympics' predictors will get their shine on the podium

Danish Cycling had success during this year's Tour de France, and the same success they had in this prediction contest as @Agger took the gold medal. He has been one of the top predictors through this contest, and with some great classification predictions, his victory was a convincing one with a solid margin to his fellow predictors. It's his second medal in the last three prediction contests and the first of gold this year. Congratulation @Agger with the victory and the gold medal!

As his fellow countryman Sagan did in the race for the Maillot Vert , @hckosice ended 2nd in this prediction contest. Some good days with some solid predictions layed the foundations for a successful contest. It's his second silver medal this year. Maybe he will be able to step up one spot higher on the podium in one of the upcoming prediction contest? But as for now, he can celebrate a well-deserved silver medal. Congrats @hckosice with a great 2nd place and silver medal!

Last predictor on the podium is @Federer91. It didn't seem to end with a medal for the Bulgarian predictor. However, some great classification predictions skyrocketed him from a middle position to a podium place on the last day. First medal of the 2020 season for @Federer91. Big congrats with the bronze medal

Another a good contest from the Romanian predictor duo, @africaboy and @ady48 with a 4th and a 5th place. @africaboy was in place for a podium spot before the last day. Though with some lesser success in the classification predictions, it sent him to the unfortunate place of 4th overall. @ady48 had better luck with the classification predictions and also some good predictions throughout the contest were enough to give him a 5th place. Also @Ufilov saw great success on the last day, and with that, he secured himself an excellent 6th place in the final standing.

Lastly, big thank you to all the users who took part in this prediction contest. This week Rolland Garros will begin and next week Giro d'Italia is set to begin. I will open the Roland Garros prediction contest very soon. The prediction contest for Giro d'Italia 2020 will open this weekend or in the start of the next week.  I hope many of you will participate.
