That's my opinion as well :)

Though I think the sport will probably allways survive here, as it takes a big part on the several sport's rivalries between the three big football teams fans (some people really take those rivalries too much serious.... and they end up ruining the sports with their agressive behaviour ), probably one of the most important for fans after football itsell and Futsal.

Would you say that Futsal is a more popular sport than 'Hoquei' nowadays ?

  2. I won't answer the same thing 5 different times.

So I'll leave you with a WADA/IOC member

    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-doping-russia-report-idUSKCN0ZX0JQ

    Citation

"USADA should be focused on the health of American athletes and those competing in the United States. Now it seems that USADA and the Canadians took over responsibility of WADA. Nobody entitled them to do that."

I'll add one thing though. We are not talking about personal opinions here (like ours), but governing bodies ones. Bodies that have a certained defined reach, that they clearly overpass on that occasion.

I am aware that they have nothing to do with the Final Decision, but I still don't see why they shouldn't be allowed to say what they think.

They're working for a clean sport and it would seem like Russia hasn't been soing so. Sure , there's a risk that some would see it as political, but None the less, these News about Russia paints a picture of Sports that isn't what these National anti doping organisations want.

They could simply express their concern or something similar. I maintain it's not their duty to call for WADA/IOC action and specially not before WADA made the report public.

It's like the danish football federation would have called for the ban of italian football federation after the Calciopoli scandal for exemple. They are not entitled to do so. Simply as that.

  4. Juste maintenant , Agger a déclaré:

Well, the National anti doping committees wants a clean sport. If a country doesn't work for that, why shouldn't they?

It's not their mandate to do so, it's WADA's one. Their duty stops within their own boundaries.

Besides, seeing - among any other countries - the US and Canada calling for the ban, makes the theory of a political move credible and, in fine, downgrade the argument.

Yes I know, like I said people here really like the sport and celebrate its victories really loud :p

They are particular popular because our three big football teams (Benfica, Porto and Sporting) have their own hockey teams and the rivalry between the three teams is so big that people do care a lot about the national hockey championship, just to make sure their team is ahead of the other two

i dont like like it because: 1- I don't like the game (can't stand the 4 wheel roller skating, that sounds like a child's roller skating to me sorry); 2 - probably only 3/4 countries in the world play/care about that, so the euro/worlds are sometimes ridiculous (0-8 on a semifinal?)

It's not surprising people tend to care about sport their country is succesfull at :p

Anyway, the sport is slowy dying :( Except for Portugal and Catalonia (and maybe San Juan), it's barely sruviving everywhere else and it's getting eatten by the poor man's ice hockey version - aka roller inline hockey.

Men's Roller Hockey European Championship just ended, Portugal won in the final 6-2 Italy :champion::POR

People here are really happy with the championship as Roller hockey is very popular in Portugal. (though personally I hate the sport, I'm more a Field/Ice hockey fan :))

You're probably the only one in your country :)

Some impressive ratings with more than half a million viewers for rink hockey. In France, if we ever had more than fifty spectators on a regional channe it must be a reccord :p

well, may be after this Golf appearance, it will have more importance for the golfers and in Tokyo wont be Zika for regrets.

Fukushima, typhons, earthquake, Godzilla, bad english from the locals...anything really, plenty of perfect allready-made excuses for top golfers in 2020.

Well why would they lie about this?:mumble:

It's not in their interest and certainly not in the interest of all the athletes.

Well, he has a point somehow. Why would Russians need such a machinery during the olympics when they success not to be caught during the rest of the season whithout using it.

Top - doping - athletes don't need to switch samples, they - usualy - never test positive to begin with.

okay made a quick stats, and France is absolutely amazing in matter of performing during Major events at home.

They hosted Euro 3 times, World cup once and they never lost a match since the start of Euro 1984  an unbelievable streak Euro 84, World Cup 98 and Euro 2016 so far. trust it or not but last time France lost a match at home in a major event tournament was yes ofc with Czechoslovakia :d in bronze match in 1960.

Twice, but, ok, that was a long time ago (1938).
