I hate being a gay man with these sprint slow-mo repeats of the races.... I lost my focus all the time 

Guess it's about time to change away...Fantastic long jump final and they're showing the 100m warm up? Pretty much the most irritating thing about athletics!

UCI really need to step up their game. If you're gonna DQ someone for something that happened with 120+ kilometers to go, take them out of the race instead of waiting until after the race. The situation was very clearly on screen, could have made the decision within 5 minutes. Once that decision wasn't made, you could assume nothing was wrong, since this thing (and way worse) happens a million times in races without any sort of punishment, but there you go. I wonder if FIFA is going to see a foul by Messi, wait until he scored three goals, and then gives him a red card and takes away the goals after the match  Now the entire last 20-30 kilometers of the race were pretty much made by someone who - according to UCI - shouldn't have been there anymore, yet they didn't take him out yet  UCI making themselves look silly again
 
Nothing wrong with the sprint, although it was obvious not everyone is a master in positioning yet.

It is with great sadness that I share the news that our dear friend Rodrigo Huk (@hukbrazil) has passed away at the age of 25.
 
As a young journalist, he worked for the website Surto Olímpico at the 2016 Rio Olympics, being one of the Totallympics members to attend those Games. An extremely humble and sensible guy, he was beloved and admired by the members of our brazilian sports group, leaving great memories for everyone who knew him. Huk will be greatly missed.

Former biathlon champion Halvard Hanevold has died

Spain's only female winter olympic medallist, Blanca Fernandez-Ochoa, bronze in Albertville 1992 in Slalom, has been found dead at 56 years.
 
 
She was quite a celebrity here, and very loved, so her going missing since the 23 in August has been fully covered in the media. Searching teams have been working hard these days in some mountains looking for her, but sadly her body was found today

Going for my 12km race in about an hour. Just planning to follow the 6 min pace, as it's 1 1/2 km longer than I've done before. Don't know if there's any live timing but my profile is:
