On behalf of the American delegation, I would like to thank @OlympicIRL for helping me organize this task of hosting the contest, which is not easy, but it was worth it. I would also like to thank @vinipereira with the logo despite being away from his home for some time. Special thanks to @hckosice @heywoodu @dcro @mrv86 and many others for their offers, as well as @Olympian1010 for manning the delegation while I held hosting duties. Finally, we'll be starting bright and early at 5 am EST for the main show, so bring your inner emotional lady with you
 
 

to be honest Olympics is totally different story than a WCH , but i think each country doesn't want to host some countries that they know very will they will participate can simply don't organize sporting tournaments especially major events , i don't think think putting a flag inside a stadium is something that will bring shame to the country

We're switching things up a bit with the venue, or shall I say 2 venues. The opening ceremony venue will be held at Walt Disney World, while the show itself will be held at Amway Center.
 

 
About Disney World:
 
In 1955, a brand new theme park was built in Anaheim, California. This park was the idea of Walt Disney and became known as Disneyland. Better than nothing , but still not enough 

That's excatly what i think about independence of states , people of this state should decide on their own if they want to involve in this country or have their independence , any international federation from now on must have written guarantees from any country that organizes a big international event that every member of this international federation would participate under their flags 

Spain's Kosov problem is called Catalunya  

I wouldn't say it's a serious problem. It's just that Spain doesn't rocognize of Kosovo. This case with Kosovo is very strange. Personally I don't have problems with this country, I believe that their citizens know best which country they live in and I don't understand why foreign country will of keeping or not diplomatic relations with it should be decisive, but there is some regulation in IOC, I believe, that future member should have this relations with most countries of the world. Kosovo is recognize only by half of the world so this kind of situation will happen, probably. 

it's not a question between ESP and KOS directly, but Spain is one of those Nations that don't recognized the "new" Republic of Kosovo yet (only 113 Countries around the world currently recognize Kosovo as a legitimate indipendent State...Italy unfortunately is among them )...

Spain allows the athletes from Kosovo to compete, but under WKF-flag, instead of Kosovo flag.

Medals for Argentina and Mexico! 

What a year for gymnastics in Latin America! Three World Championships medals for Mexico (artistic, aerobics and trampoline), one for Brazil (artistic) and one for Argentina (trampoline). If only Colombia had won a medal, this would have been the perfect year for us. But I'm quite happy, alright! I would never have dreamed Latin America would do so well this year! AMAZING!
 

I'm watching it , still hard to say, she looked a bit confused . maybe they wanted her to beat Perez of VEN and just hope for one of those top 2 to bombs out

1) why not trying 140kg in 2nd attempt and saving the last one for catching up the DOM girl ?!
2) both 139 and 140 was too easy for her. she was surely capable of more.

Since the women's weightlifting was included in the Olympics，Chinese weightlifting get 5 gold medals in every Olympic games.

wow.  Martirosyan made up for all those dumb moves from other Armenian weightlifters. even 240 was easy for him

and btw in case you guys think Martirosyan is stupid to start with 230kg which I believe he is.  he can't lower the weight. because his entry was 440kg he can't start lower than 420kg. 230kg will be the gold medal lift for him. this will be gold or nothing most probably.

My only bet of the entire world championships and it ends with a fail like this

That´s so incrdeibliy sad. He´s like the most famous doper in weightlifting and he shows up at the world championship 2 years after he got busted.

unfortunately there is nothing in the rules against registering like this and withdrawing. and for "registering" you have to participate in weight-in and make weight which he did . that's all he had to do to fulfill one of those 6 qualification events.

no he will not. that's a sure thing. he already filled the withdrawal paper
