Dunadan got a reaction from heywoodu in How Many Medals do You Expect from Your Nation at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games?
1) It's not important;
2) it's a title so if you want to be pedantic every word except prepositons, conjunctions and articles should be capitalized

As someone here would say:
"I was 99% sure about this
This was so expected twice in a few days "
I hope they reach the final and lose 2-3 with a wrong call on the match point.

The formula for women is almost identical. The difference is that in the 2nd round there will be 2 pools of 8 teams instead of 4 pools of 4. Top teams will play 13 matches.

I highly doubt that happened on purpose. actually I'm quite sure about that. I watched the entire game, nothing suspicious. if they wanted that they could easily miss those free throws at the end. but they made both. of course that was stupid to let Belgium to score in only 1 second to go but that was just a stupid defensive mistake. they were down by more than 10pts most of the 2nd half if they wanted to lose by +8 intentionally that was no problem for them, they didn't need that last basket from Belgium.

I haven't watched the draw but the FIVB has been using some "tables" lately to determine the order of matches, for groups of 3 teams (like the Nations League Final Six) it's always:
team1 v. team3
team2 v. team3
team1 v. team2
and in this case we already knew that team1=ITA and BRA.
It's similar for groups of 4 teams, as you can notice in the previous round the order of matches is the same for every pool.

Dunadan reacted to LDOG in Men's Volleyball FIVB World Championship 2018
From what I can understand from our team, during the tournament someone (I assume some FIVB officer or FEVA officer) told them otherwise. As I told before, during the match the press officer from FEVA (who has direct communication with players) was doing commentary in our tv and he spoke as if the match didn't matter beyond winning 2 sets. Then I tweeted to this guy who in turn (after getting angry with me) messaged the players and said that they were in "bewilderment" about this.
If this was all fake, then they are very good actors tbh.
Ps. Luciano de Cecco blocked me on Twitter because of this loooool. I can't believe a player of his status would be so touchy about some random comments on social media.

France would be better off if points counted before victories, imo they would even have a chance to advance with only 5 victories and 18 points in total.
FIVB is incompetent, but for me now everyone is exaggerating in trying to promote their interests (or maybe they are just very stupid, I don't know). 10 days ago I heard Velasco complaining because all results was carried over and now I read here that after the loss against Japan, Argentinians claimed that they didn't know that they had to win
Anyway it looks like FIVB sent a letter to all teams 2 days ago because some of them asked to clarify, so now there is no more room for misunderstandings. The guy who took this pic is not very tech-savvy but it is readable and point 1. is clear: " the first point of the Team classification criteria for all FIVB competitions is the number of victories "

FIVB site always said: "The four pool-winning teams of the second stage will access the third stage, together with the top two of the second ranked teams." (http://italy-bulgaria2018.fivb.com/en/competition/formula,and in the picture you can read "1st place + two best 2nd advance"). For me the part that I quoted was media speculation.

I think he's still recovering from an old injury...
Chiara Soldi (commentating the finals on PMG/Youtube stream) said she's talked with him and he promised to be on the mat for the Premier League Final in Tokyo, but she didn't say anything about the reason why he's not in Berlin this week...

as far as I know, A = yes, B = no...but I'm gonna try and check out deeper in the rulebook if there's something about that...
Edit: I just read the entire rulebook, and there's no reference to the medals not being awarded in competitions with less than 3 entries...therefore, I suppose that also in the women's LW Pairs USA and Italy will get their honors, despite this event is definitely a farce (well, not that the 3-crew races are really a serious thing)...

There will be much more than 4 teams in the mixed events (2 teams qualified directly + every country that can form a team with shooters qualified in individual events, max. 2 teams per country)

Dunadan got a reaction from Gianlu33 in Nations that never won a gold in World Championship in Olympic & Non-Olympic Sports
Gabon and Bolivia have already been mentioned and shouldn't be on the list.
If you count the IFBB World Championships (Bodybuilding and Fitness, results by year here
https://ifbb.com/contest-report-2018/) the following have won at least a gold:
Iraq
Oman
Libya
Malta
Iceland

Unsurprisingly Indonesia was hit the hardest, losing 45 medals, but still sitting in 11th on the medal table. Overall Southeast Asia took the hardest hit. Thailand lost half its medals and also dropped out of the top 10 and is sitting in 15th. Malaysia lost 18/20 medals. Bahrain and Kazakhstan have both moved into the top 10 (8th and 10th respectively). Japan despite being a distant second only lost 13 medals. North Korea is the only nation in the old top 10 to lose fewer than 10 medals (2 lost). The following nations which won medals no longer have any; Afghanistan, Cambodia, Unified Korea, Laos and Myanmar.

Birthplace alone doesn't define nationality, but kindly check the birthplace and biography of the people you were referring to...a Yemeni-Qatari is not African (and he wouldn't be African even if all of his teammates were Kenyans who switched allegiance to Qatar at the age of 30).
