  1. yeah, provided there's a reasonable candidate City, 2036 is Europe's time (12 years after Paris). and please, no Korea...not another hyper-corrupted event Seoul 1988 and the Football World Cup in 2002 (and in some disciplines -short track speedskating and some snowboard/freestyle events above all- Pyeongchang 2018) are enough to put a big red cross on Korea hosting a global championship...
  2. finally! it was time, 14 years after Alessandra Sensini and after so many medals (but not the gold one), the Olympic windsurfing class world title is back in Italy

  4. my dad, who doesn't know anything about this thing and occasionally saw today's finals, said to me that the Chinese girl was better than the Japanese for his absolutely non existent knowledge. it's another confirmation that this kind of activities shouldn't be considered sports and shouldn't have competitive rankings. just enjoy the show.
  5. not that today's starting field was really strong, tbh... by the way, today it was a truly European day in Abu Dhabi, as won the 4 titles up for grabs. which means that now France are leading the medal table with 2 Gold medals, followed by a bunch of Nations with 1 each ( Italy are still second, as they won also another silver and another bronze today). Tomorrow the event comes to a close with the heaviest classes tournaments, as usual the perfect conclusion of a grand slam. here's the results recap updated after today's action: https://www.ijf.org/competition/2309/results
  6. 10. no, it's like in Shotgun Shooting...the 3rd ranked in each ranking match are 5th and 6th (according to their score in ranking match and eventually in qualification if the first tie-breaker is not enough) and the 4th ranked are 7th and 8th (same criteria).
  11. wins Gold, silver for among the boys...
  12. by the way, Ami takes the girls World Title must be happy with silver
  13. no, but we can criticize the fact that there are no objective parameters to judge that thing, therefore this is just another "entertainment activity" and definitely NOT a sport.
  14. it's gonna be a tough season for the snow sports...and it will be tougher year after year...
  15. however, medal matches are being contested right now, if someone is interested... Ayumi has just taken the girls bronze medal are also in the Gold Medal match vs vs for bronze among the boys, where the GMM is between and I expected some French participation in the final 4, but this time the Asian connection and the North-American bias have been stronger. is the only "geographical" exception...
  16. I can only see that there are 9 judges voting for one boy/girl or another and the number of favourable judges determine the result...no idea about rules and criteria (and frankly I'm not interested to discover them)...
  17. it's 1.46.85, by the way...almost 1.5 secs below the old mark
  18. well, today it looks better for GBR... Renshall is in the semifinals of the W -63kg and both Petersen-Pollard and Yeats-Brown are in the pool finals of the W -70kg...they can't be worse than 5th (Renshall) or 7th (the other 2 girls)...
  19. Men's Individual 50m 3-Position Rifle Gold: Serhiy Kulish Silver: Tomasz Bartnik Bronze: Jon-Hermann Hegg Olympic Quota (to the NOCs, NOT to the Shooters): Serhiy Kulish, Tomasz Bartnik, Swapnil Kusale, Liu Yukun
  20. what a disaster by Kusale with his last shot! he literally threw the the bronze medal away, so Hegg ends up on the last step of the podium. Bartnik and Kulish for gold (the Ukranian has really dominated this final so far).
  21. Dallinger did suicide himself with the last shot, he could have easily survived at least for another round...
  22. get the Olympic Quota places in the men's 50m 3-Position Rifle
  23. exactly... and of course France has already been spotted by the judges at no. 1 in both the boys and girls events. no doubt that they will win a lot in the next couple of years and especially at the Home Olympics. gotta love the activities where the ranking is already known before the start.
  24. wait...I have a doubt...where the next Olympic Games are going to be held? ah, now I remember...it will all happen in Paris! and guess what? where do the number 1 seed in both the boys and girls competitions come from? yesss, sir! you're right! double gold for France coming in 3, 2, 1...
  25. B-Boys, Round of 32
