Federer91 got a reaction from maestro in Alpine Skiing FIS World Cup 2023 - 2024
Very, very sad news Has Kilde now reached Svindal in number of injuries. I have lost the count of how many seasons he has left prematurely now. Both Norwegians achieved so much in their careers, but a big "what if" will loom on the full potential they could have had, if not for the frequent injuries.

I attended my first film festival this week. It was a pretty neat experience. I got the chance to see a lot of international films that were on my list to see. I'm not sure how it compares to others internationally, but I thought it was pretty well organized/programed.

Federer91 got a reaction from thepharoah in Tennis ITF Australian Open 2024
If things are true and this is Nadal's last year, then most likely he already played his final match in Australia. Not the way he wanted to go out.

The tournament, which 95% of European club football fans hate. Especially ones for the "all mighty" English league.

Federer91 got a reaction from Josh in Darts Discussion Thread
It is by the evidence of 80 pages and other threads for the big events of past years. But almost no one comments in the last 1-2 years. I myself haven't been watching as much as 4-5-7 years ago, but still follow all results and watch whenever i can.
Presume people prioritise other stuff to watch as well. Also some of the decisions the PDC have made lately have hindered some of my interests. That and because it's not been on regular TV here in years.

Littler is by far the oldest 16 year old I've ever seen in sports outside of athletics
Be that as it may though, the way he is playing is absolutely phenomenal. Whether he's 16 or 46, the level of play he has shown from his very first match to yesterday's semi is something else entirely. Especially in his own legs he is just nearly unbeatable....he hit an average of 123 points per turn in his own legs against Van Barneveld and even the ever so negative Van Barneveld had to admit that there's just nothing you can do against that. If your opponent plays like that, you need to hit multiple nine-dart finishes just to be able to take one or two of his sets (and then hold on for dear life in your own sets).
Then again, Humphries was sensationally good as well yesterday, after a bit of a rough start in the tournament he seems to have hit his stride. Of course it always remains to be seen what the pressure of a final does to both, but Humphries has been in major finals before and Littler has clearly shown he doesn't give two shits about the pressure so far, so....at least potentially it could be a sensational final tonight

Preliminary entry list is out for the Euro, including USA for some reason. Don't they have their own continental championships some would ask.

Federer91 got a reaction from Josh in Ski Jumping FIS World Cup 2023 - 2024
First ever women's event in Garmisch and we have 7 different countries in the top 7. The second round was very good with lots of nice jumps and frequent lead changes.

A complete disaster for Norway right now, as all of their jumpers are losing the duels.

The tradition here for many years was that gifts were given on New Years. This was true for my childhood as well. But in the last decade or so things changed and practically everyone does it on the 25th now.

Albert with a fantastic 4th place after the first run, but in Madonna this doesn't mean much, since the gaps are so small. There is going to be some drama. I love skiing at night
