Federer91 got a reaction from orangeman in Totallympics Records and Statistics
Since the Games are officially over, i thought i could do a quick check on the activity here, like i did for Tokyo in the summer. Have compared the replies for each sport with the 2018 Games, with the notion of course, that the current threads can see some additional comments, but nothing drastic after today, since people will move on. In general there is a slight decrease, with luge and biathlon taking the biggest hits.

I think we should have had a 50km race. It didn't look that cold and windy throughout the race at all.

Doesn't really matter now either way. Russia is Russia no matter how they try to mask it.
Alexander the Great with 5 medals and 3 Golds

5 categories, 60 people, 3 per country... With such pettiness, not having the sport at all wouldn't be such a bad idea, instead of having it as a charity event.

Shiffrin (and NBC) said her goal is to compete in all 5 disciplines. Never said they want to finish them all, so goal achieved

Great result, US have no business winning a medal with their D team. Nothing against them, or Canada, but fuck the NHL.

Federer91 got a reaction from Ted in Winter Olympic Games Beijing 2022 Medal Count
Russia isn't doing that bad. If we exclude Sochi, which was an anomaly as a host nation, they had in 2010 only 3 golds, while in 2018 they were only 2.
So they are having a better Olympics already, than those two, both in terms of gold medals and overall medals. And they were close in winning a few more, like the biathlon relay today, which Latypov threw away in the end, or the short track relay yesterday. Plus they have a few events to come in which they could get more golds, so i think they will pass some nations and settle around 5th-6th overall.

Men's Slalom must be the most even events. No clear favorite chosen
