  1. Wow! Even if it is an arena that charges the direction of throwing based on the wins and it was 21 m/a and it is strange that they don't have rules such as the sprints and long jump/triple jump, it is still very impressive and would have been interesting to see Ceh and Ståhl here too.

    Hoping for Sweden-Canada finals ;)

Of course you probably already know that I like Team Edin on the men’s side (and to a lesser extent Team Schwaller), but I also really like Team Hasselborg on the women’s side (same for Team Fujisawa)

Let's hope so! And from my view as I know most of the swedes, they are quite good people too😄

also liked team Fujisawa very much since their first WCH final. And

and the only time I have interacted with Fujisawa, short by the coffe machine at a hotel breakfast she seemed like a very sweet person.

Homan a bit more difficult to get close to and get a picture of while I mer her but such a great player!

:SWE Edin does it again. A 6th consecutive World Championships final, and going for a 5th consecutive title. What an incredible run he’s been on. :yes

This was the final I wanted heading into the event as them and Team Gushue are my favourite teams in (men’s) curling, very very happy with the outcome.

    @maestro

Sweden finished 5th last year ;)

It's more a reflection of who gets invites, or has the finance to travel to the big ranking tournaments.

I like the ranking system even if I agree with you. Like my team, could probably be top-50 instead of 116 if we played more abroad. I think the formula is quite good where tournaments are worth more depending on the strength of the opponents. However it should really only count the strenght of those you finish ahead of. An example is the swedish championship this year where the gold was worth much less points than the silver or bronze last year. The only real difference was that Edin did not participate, and should you really get more points just because the team/s ahead of you are stronger. A gold without Edin should be about the same value as a silver without.

However if you are invited to the very most awarding tournaments- the grand slams- that is based on rankings and not special invitations.

Goesgens btw won Sun City Cup in Karlstad recently where Edin came 3rd and Klima didn´t qualify for playoffs.

It’s not that surprising actually. Although Czech Republic were the favourites.

Goesgens are ranked #31 and Klima #63 on the world ranking so not so surprising, but of course Netherlands have always been better on tour than when they have played championships.

Every race where Poromaa is beaten is a nice one (considering his pathetic comments towards biathlon), so this seems like a nicely surprising result :d

Don´t think that was so serious comment but yes still stupid.

Fun fact btw from yesterday´s races. It was Maja Dahlqvists first ever national championship medal. Just took some world cup wins, and world and olympic medals first, and it wasn´t even in a sprint or in a very good season. :d

  8. Swedish nationals 20 km mass start freestyle today. womens podium could have been a sprint world cup podium

    1. Sundling 2. Svahn 3. Dahlqvist

On men's side more establisjed names such as Burman and Poromaa finished 10 and 11.

Frida Karlsson (7th) and Ebba Andersson missed podium on women side, a bit of a surprise, but Anderssons boyfriend won men's gold.

    1. Berglund 2. Jutterström 3. Rosjö
