In Estonia, Discovery Communications have sub-licensed to Eesti Meedia, so their goal for having no exclusive rights anywhere continues.
-
For any Estonians here, Eesti Meedia has sub-licensed from Eurosport. Great.
-
Handball qualification has started (probably, we don't really know for sure).
Football and Basketball will start during 2017.
Hopefully they will release the procedures soon, and we will know how to get to Tokyo 2020 (the answer is: by plane).

At least your cousin Brad from the 1990s is going to watch it because it is 'tubular'.
For fucks sake. Skateboarding. You know I was joking about adding Gaelic football but that probably has more of a scope.
As well as cricket, rugby league, like, more people probably watch e-Sports than skateboarding.
-
Or fucking women's skateboarding.
-
Oh, in my naïveté I just assumed it was more events.
If they want to get rid of existing events, let's just make every event gender-neutral. See how many women qualify then. Equality comes in many forms
This reminds me of the character 'Millie Tant' from Viz Comic.

But the problem is that stuff like 'mixed relays' don't make sense, it's like if the point of the Olympics is to determine who the best is, what does this determine that the proper relays don't? Waste of time.

The more events the better right? If you don't like it don't watch

Cheers lads. Maybe for Football the SFA, FAW, and IFA can stop scratching their arse and actually bother to make a British team
-
Anyone know when first news of qualifiers are?
-
South Africa are so awful, it is genuinely amusing. They're as bad as their rugby league team (maybe not that bad)!
-
17-19 Good result for Tonga. (lol south africa)
27-14 We were okay. But what was Daly doing? Dirty game, finished 13-13 in terms of players. Argentina are crap now lol tho
43-16 That's nice.
36-10 Interesting.
27-24 Now we know we'll beat Australia, at least.

Europe GAA has changed it's name to 'Gaelic Games Europe' and got a new logo
(Old logo)
(New logo)
It's an odd choice IMO. I don't get why it's been changed as the 'GAA' branding is fairly universal.
-
https://www.balls.ie/rugby/shane-williams/352257 This is amazing, shows the power of sport to connect people from across the world.
-
can beat imo. Especially if can.
-
58-15 YES! England indomitable and formidable in attack. Hard to tell if we just lost concentration in defence or these are actual issues. As for Fiji, they made way too many simple errors, including a ridiculous pass for the 7th (?) try.
33-30 Japan! Wow! Unfortunately Wales brought it back but still, great effort from the lads. I was watching it 'in the background' but from what I saw Wales were making too many mistakes and Japan's kickers weren't too good.
18-20 Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika. They bloody need it.
-
I don't like either of the teams in 40-29 but fair play to Ireland
-
I'll be pissed off if the FA fritters away money or points on this poppies shite.
-
Place to talk about gaelic games
-Gaelic football
-Hurling
-Camogie
-Ladies' Gaelic football
-GAA handball
and
-Any news that involves the GAA (i.e. Croke Park, Congress, etc.)
I won't make a page on results until the new season.
-
Yeah, but what about, say, Cypriot TV (before Eurosport). They would be in a bit of a hole. How many gaelic footballers have media training and know Greek?
Mind you, the UK would be fine. There are some great British players. And I'm sure they would be delighted to represent Team GB. From Antrim to Armagh, from Lisburn to Londonderry...
And the fine crop of lads coming through for London. We beat the Déise last year.
-
Can you imagine what gaelic football would be like in the Olympics. Sure now, RTÉ can use Joe Brolly (what a wally) and BBC have a crew from Northern Ireland but who would, say, CCTV or like Antiguan TV use? That would be banter.
-
Did you hear this hilarious joke I just came up with? The GAA stands for Grab All Association? Bet you've never heard that one before.
-
Here's a thought...
pay the players.
Why not? -
Yeah. But GAA Handball is on a bit of a downer at the moment. It's certainly not as big as it once was.
I mean, the GAA has got their finger out of their ass slightly when promoting it worldwide, instead of just Ireland and a small corner of the UK. Four of the lads on the London GAA team were actually born in London. Progress! Also there's the GAA World Games every year now, which first took place in 2015 in Abu Dhabi, but this year it was actually in Croker. Gaelic football has grown a bit in France too, and is not governed by the GAA, but a local organisation. Dropping those 'foreign games' and 'British soldiers' rules helped too.
