Just double-checked and it is only three quotas in Women's 60kg.

The current repechage round (Repechage 7) could be deciding as both Brazilian Surfers are in the same heat.
If both advances their chances are still alive, if they end in third and fourth place their chances are gone.
If only one of them advances it will be difficult to win the team quota and they will need a small miracle.

And your third Surfer also qualified for Round 6 
So I think it is very likely that you will win the team quota as well. I think only Brazil could qualify 3 surfers in Top8, but two of them are already in the repechage

I think so. Round 6 is Top8 guaranteed and there are at least two athletes which already have the quota (including Kauli Vaast), so Joan Duru should have the quota as well.

Hätte ich nach den Leistungen der letzten Jahre echt nicht erwartet.

Anne Sauer holt den Quotenplatz im Florett-Fechten...heißt aber leider auch, dass es damit gewiss ist, dass die deutschen Florett-Damen um 6 Punkte die Qualifikation für den Team-Wettbewerb verpasst hat. Bis zur Verletzung von Leonie Ebert lagen sie da eigentlich auf Kurs und danach hat es einfach nicht gereicht, um die Polinnen hinter sich zu halten.

Im Säbelfechten der Männer sieht es leider auch nicht gut aus...hier sind zwar noch zwei Weltcups offen, aber sie müssten entweder die Italiener oder die Franzosen hinter sich lassen und beides ist nicht wirklich realistisch.

So, die deutschen Tischtennis-Männer haben sich mit dem Viertelfinal-Einzug bei der Team-WM nun auch die Olympia-Quali gesichert.
Damit ist der DTTB in Paris mit maximaler Mannschaftsstärke dabei.

There is a reason this is Germany's FIRST ever Olympics for the German Women's National Team in Basketball. The German Women's National Team has a FIBA ranking of 25th. Which means even if you finish DEAD last, your team "should" move up in the rankings. However, do not expect too much from your team. Your team finished a -24 in your group. France finished a +135, we finished a +118, Australia a +40, & Japan +8.

I know that it is a waste of time but, especially the bold sentence is nonsense.
In 2023 Satou Sabally became the WNBA most improved player as was in the All-WNBA first team.

I think it's pretty safe that she would be on the US squad this year.

Basically I agree with you. However, for years now I've only been watching the individual streams and no longer the main program... there are almost only interviews and background reports and then there are recordings of what you just missed live..

Der vollständig halber: Florian Wellbrock hat mit Platz 2 über die 1500m ebenfalls die DSV Vorgabe erreicht.

Lukas Märtens (200m Freistil) und Isabel Gose (1500m Freistil) haben nun auch die Vorgabe des DSV mit einem Top4 Ergebnis erfüllt.
Wobei bei beiden ja auch die Frage ist, inwieweit man bei Mehrfachstarts die DSV Vorgaben in jeder Disziplin erfüllen muss (natürlich nur, wenn die offizielle Norm außerhalb des DSV-Fenster erreicht wurde).

P.S.: Und nun gesellt sich noch Sven Schwarz mit Platz 4 über 800m Freistil dazu.

I think noone expects the German Men's to win the Gold medal.

They have perhaps the best team ever in German history, especially since everything is no longer focused on a single superstar (Dirk Nowitzki).

There are leading players (Dennis Schröder, Franz Wagner) and players who have been playing in the NBA (Mo Wagner, Daniel Theis, Maxi Kleber, Isaiah Hartenstein) or in top clubs in Europe for years and are now in their prime. It's a really good combination and on a good day they can annoy any team in the world.

It would be great if they could win a medal, butthat is anything but certain.

I wouldn't count on our footballers it is a big surprise, that they managed to reach the semi finals.

if you have asked me before this tournament I would have said 40% chance to win the quota in basketball and 20% in football 

It was indeed a very hard battle between and and in some cases it was too hard.

In any case, I'm happy that this young German team actually made it to Paris.
