Hong Kong isn’t really that sovereign since the PRC clampdown during the pandemic. It’s honestly a slap in the face of places like  that they are allowed to compete at the Olympics (and yes, I do understand the nationality rules and how places were grandfathered in).

Didn't realize that, thanks.  I do know that when Bermuda won the women's triathlon in Tokyo, God Save the Queen was played.

I don't see anything terribly wrong with using QSAC for athletics and still having the existing Gabba for the ceremonies and cricket (because lets be honnest, cricket is going to be at the 2032 games :P )
 
I kind of like the idea of "The Olympic Stadium" not needing to be the venue for athletics.

I haven't watched the match. However from what I see, Gaudreault started the match and was excluded with substitution in the middle of the third quarter.
 
A red card also means that she can't play in the quarterfinal. I'm not sure if this one match ban could be appealed or not.

Politics aside (because I have some real problems with the current Hungarian government) I think Budapest is in a pretty good spot to win a 2036 Olympic bid if they want to go for it, with two very successful aquatic worlds and now there athletics worlds going so well.

Meanwhile it's  vs   with weapons, which is not normally a good thing, but luckily this time it's slightly friendlier
