Olympionikes got a reaction from Braulio in Your Tokyo 2020 Schedule
I take three weeks off for the olympic games since I work so I begin in 2010 for Vancouver, before I was student so that was easy to watch the more that I can. For this games it will be nearly 2am to nearly 5pm all day, and it will be a great pleasure.
Since London we are able to watch all the events so right now my work is counting how much event will take place at the same moment and having the right number of screen set up. In Rio and Pyeongchang we can have 4 events by windows with a split screen. I hope this is the same this year like this I can watch the more olympic action to feed me to next one.

Yeah, good luck with that. I am saying this to me since Vancouver.
I have experience with Asian olympiades, It will be like PC 2018 when I missed almost nothing. I expect the same, Time to sleep from some cca16:00 to cca02:00, apart Day 14 with the 50km Race Walk starting 22:30 my time.
People who know me are always amazed, how I can keep watching the whole nights and half days for two weeks, well, my answer is always the same, If you are an Olympic fanatic like me, nothing is more easy than staying excited and focused the 2 weeks. The problem is rather that it is ONLY 2 weeks
But I am considering skip the -2 and -1 nights, since there not many things I can rewatch the softball later on demand, but from Day 0 I will be here from 02:00 with Archery Ranking round live score, be sure of that !

Will puzzle future archaelogists. Why did Middle Eastern people in the 21st century AD start worshipping a giant diamond shaped god?

Yes I will watch rowing. I already check because I was afraid to get up for nothing at 2:00 in the morning.
Unfortunately I already plan to watch all the softball and football games live. I already set up my five screens (I have two more to set up for the first week).

there's always a lot of rowing that night...
and you can also go for a recovery of some softball and/or football matches from days -2 and -1 (I doubt you can watch all of them in full lenght in any single day)...

If one thinks current qualification system is not good, they can propose some discussion before the document released for next Paris period. Each member could propose some preferred system including taking results point into account only or purely by best performance raking.
The fairness I refer to is that once the qualification process is confirmed, everyone should obey it. You can't process this system for almost 2-3 years but find that you may exclude/excluded on the last week then you say it's unfair I think it should be counted by Toplist ranking instead of Road to Tokyo ranking and I would be qualified based on that ranking list.
Basically the fairness I mean is that no matter the qualification system good or bad. It should be implemented equally for everyone and it should not give wild card for someone yelling it's not fair and I would be qualified if based on another qualification system.

I still don't understand Deschamps coaching, why don't make any subsitutions it pays for the swiss.
Congrats to them, they battle hard to win this game and the french players were too confident in the last minutes of the game.

If Hubbard had not been considered eligible, Charisma Tarrent, the Aussie lifter, would have got a 'World Ranking' place, rather than the Oceania place she has taken. This would have freed up that Oceania place, which as I understand it would have gone to a young Tongan, Nini Manumua.
It would be great if we did not conflate transgender inclusion, which is one difficult issue, with inclusion of athletes with rare intersex conditions (e.g. Caster Semenya) which is also difficult, but an entirely separate issue.
Caster was born, registered and raised as female. She has always, socially if not biologically, been a woman. While I reluctantly believe WA has come as close as they can to the right answer, Caster deserves nothing but sympathy and support.
Hubbard does not have any intersex condition, and was indisputably biologically and socially male from birth, until transition in mid 30's. That transition presumably was necessitated by gender dysphoria, but while IOC have allowed transgender people without full surgery (A much smaller cohort) to compete as women since 2015, we have had three very significant studies since 2019 that pretty much conclusively prove that the biological advantage male puberty creates - about 15% speed, 35% power and strength, and nearly 200% strike force (punching) - is barely reduced even by three years full testosterone suppression.
Hubbard may well be playing by the rules as they are, and seems to be entirely genuine in their gender identity, and this is not a personal attack, but the 2015 rules are wrong - even the trans woman whose evidence was used to justify the 2015 rule change, Joanna Harper, basically admitted this year that the science shows that male pubertal advantage largely remains (there was a <5% drop over 3 years where one might expect and require a 30% drop). in other words, Hubbard retains the exact male advantage that is supposed to be eliminated by having female events in the first place.
I don't know what the answer is. A third category at the Olympic seems unlikely. a specific Trans (and DSD) category at the Paralympics, for example, seems more plausible, and could be done in a gender affirming way without undermining women.
But what has happened here is not sustainable. Far from increasing inclusion and acceptance of trans people, it is causing people who never had an issue with trans people in general to be come angry and resentful. It's actually making things worse. If Hubbard squeezes say Sarah Robles, or Emily Campbell out of a medal, it will become absolutely toxic.
My 2c.

Yeah, this is not going to end well... A loss was the expected outcome, nevertheless those last 15 minutes were inexcusible and could leave a scar for tomorrow.
Mind you, our team has a tendency of dropping a level when facing lower ranked teams, like Portugal and Tunisia, for example...

I haven't see Brazil play but I assume that Norway and Brazil are already qualified.
For the trio Germany/Sweden/Slovenia it seems quite impredictible right now. Germany and Sweden were quite on and off and Slovenia was miles away from Algeria so next mach will tell us. I think Sweden is better then the two others are at the same level.
I'm really excited by France-Croatia coming in a few hours, hope to see a great match.

To complete, the world cup event became a test event only. As a precaution the event will take place with only japanese gyms to test the venue. Without the qualification to obtain there is no need for athletes all around the globes to travel to Japan by this trouble time.
