Euro handball is also a useless event, Italians wanted to participate but they have been told that they didn't qualify, that's a disgrace for the competition! I can play handball and I have the right to be in! #BoycottEuroHandball

IT'S OVER!!!
With an almost perfect second half, Spain beats Norway and reach the final! I couldn't be happier right now!

I agree this system would be much more fair than the current.
What do you think about hosting rights for the two groups? I personally thinks the two nations with the lowest combined sum of their places from the WCH and continental championships should receive the rights to host one group each. (WCH + Cont. = Score) High/top places equals low score. Let's say the Netherlands and Norway end up with the two lowest combined scores. They would have the hosting rights for one group each. If the Netherlands choose to decline as host, then the nation with the second lowest combined score in the group is asked if they want to host the group.
In my opinion, it could also be a good idea if the two nations with the lowest combined score could choose which team they would be in group with. If we continue with our example and say the Netherlands has the lowest combined score. The Netherlands would choose a nation first for its group. Norway would then choose a nation for its group. The Netherlands then choose the next nation and so forth until both groups are complete. This way a nation like the Netherlands, who maybe don't want to host such an event, can still benefit by choosing the nations in its group.

I am sure everyone in the Hungarian handball community will root for Netherlands and Sweden tomorrow like they are the Hungarian national team.

Most likely this will be the final. And I see Russia capable to win the trophy this year. Only Spain can change the situation, they are playing great handball this championship.

I'm not sure if there is much lower for Romania than this. It's like all the rest of the team looks at Cristina Neagu during the match and expect her to win matches alone...
Really messy things in Romanian handball lately on club handball too.

With the exception of that weird defeat against Netherlands, Norway is doing a flawless job so far, we are probably heading towards a Norway v Russia final.

now DEN are 14-9 ahead (halftime)...
p.s. looking at the Dutch team, it's just like watching the L.A.Lakers in the NBA...out there, it's LeBron leading the time-outs and basically coaching the team...here's Polman doing exactly the same...

Once, as far as I know that was the first and still only time: at the 2014 Asian Games, the Japanese women beat the poor Maldives team 79-0. Japan had 82 attempts, so only missed three (which were in fact missed and not stopped by the Maldives goalkeeper, since 79 shots were shots on goal). Maldives surprisingly had 30 attempts, 22 of which were shots on goal, but all of them were blocked by the goalie.

This is the 6th biggest margin in world championship history. Actually in top 7 largest defeats, Australia suffered 6 of them (and Thailand once). See below:
Hungary 57–9 Australia 2005
Sweden 66–21 Australia 2009
Austria 52–11 Thailand 2009
Russia 48–8 Australia 2009
Angola 47–8 Australia 2005
France 46–7 Australia 2019
Netherlands 53–15 Australia 2011

I would say the win against Hungary is a bigger surprise. Congrats, I think we can say that you are already qualified
