Marc Hirschi likely wins the Tour de Hongrie, unless something unexpected happens in Budapest tomorrow. I am very much pleased with how this year's Tour went here, we had some entertaining stages, and the last one in Budapest should be quite beautiful.

He has opted for……, so that’s potentially going to be many firsts. His mother Ngozi Mwanamwambwa* was also an Olympian.
* OK, I admit it - copy & paste.

Hmmmpph, well Planet Canoe on YT does have all today’s races, just in the annoying chopped-up one video per event format. If you want the single deluxe live stream, it’s on Recast.
Forgot that I’d put in £10 into Recast to watch the Curling a while back, so here’s a review! It’s well cheaper than the Curling, say about €0.20 - €0.40 cents for a single session. (Curling is €1.00 - €2.00). Picture quality, sound, comms (random Aussie, like the Olympic Channel) all look fine to me.
So depends how much you’re willing to pay to escape the usual annoying YT ads-every-five-minutes format.

Wow, they take their fishing seriously in Ohio!
Two men who admitted to cheating in an Ohio fishing tournament last fall have been sentenced to ten-day jail terms and other penalties, including the forfeiture of a boat valued at $100,000.

Grassmarket got a reaction from phelps in Which Sports Events are you Currently Watching?
There’s not really a clear Start Week for summer sports like there is for winter sports, but this week feels a bit like we’re starting a new one.
Canoe Sprint WC from Szeged
Mountain Bike from Nove Mesto ie the biathlon stadium
Triathlon World Series from Yokohama (OK, not the first, but regular schedule) now
Athletics - Kip Keino Classic from Nairobi, always an enthusiastic crowd.
Cycling - Men from Italy & Hungary, Women’s Itzulia ie Basque Country.

& have had these laws since the EPO era, but this is a first for .
A Texas man faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to supplying performance-enhancing drugs to Olympic athletes.

still, I haven't heard yet of all the people involved in the NOP being sentenced to jail (I mean, from Salazar to the Nike's CEO to all the athletes that trained in Eugene and surroundings)...

UCI determined to destroy its own sport. What on earth do they think is going to happen when Killips rides the Tour de France or the Olympics in Paris? How are the public on the roadside going to react, do you think? Are they going to fine other riders or teams for criticizing him? It's a completely predictable disaster just waiting to happen, like ordering your ship to sail full speed through a sea filled with icebergs.
The only question is whether they are just deeply stupid, or whether they've been bribed.

Seems like we have got more men winning women's cycling races to look forward to this summer.
A well-deserved reward for all those women who've struggled over the last decade to get three Grand Tours, all the Classics etc etc. Well done the UCI!

And it was a unique double because a man also won the men’s race! Truly a day to remember.

Women’s cycling often a bit lacking in drama, but two great stages to round off the Vuelta yesterday & today. Even down to the bit where riders emerge suddenly from the clouds at the top of mounrains to save or lose their jerseys! Not quite oxygen tanks, but pretty near.

men win bronze in 50 overs cricket. Really commendable performance from both them as well as Indonesia despite losing. Both teams decided against allowing expats in the team. So it's a fully home grown team.

Yeah the attitude seems to be. "Governments criticizing journalists is an attack on free speech." Yes it is. "Ordinary citizens criticizing journalists is an attack on free speech" Errm....no. Ordinary citizens saying what they like about journalists is an EXAMPLE of free speech.

So in their view Elon Musk’s RELAXATION of censorship laws on Twitter was a blow to press freedom because…..well, who knows.
And they don’t realise that speech laws in & are completely different, that’s some ace reportering right there.
