Well it’s no secret that youth sports suck in the US, but I think it’s more that we send athletes we want to develop, and not athletes that are already chasing Olympic qualification or World Cup level competition.
I really hope Macuga’s okay. It didn’t look good at all.

I saw the photos on your website. Looks terrible.
I feel like we can do a lot better in YOG, but we just don’t try. I don’t think we send our best athletes or maybe our youth development programs just suck.

I’m a bit worried about Macuga @bmo. Have you seen the photos from her crash?
Also just realized where there was 15, instead 16, skaters in the men’s single. Our second skater dropped out of the games .
These games are looking terrible for the US. Thank the IOC for the Free Ski and Snowboard events.

Team
Day 1 Results
Rebeka Jančová as the very first SVK athlete competing at this games, finished 8th in the W Super-G, the first top 10 of Slovak team at Lausanne,
the other highly mentionable performance of the day was Patrik Melicher who scored 3 goals and added 2 assists in his Team Grey win 9:8 over the Team Blue of the M mixed NOC´s 3x3 Ice Hockey Tournament, among the girls worth to mention Barbora Kapičáková who scored 2 goals, which was in fact the half of the complete amount of the goals of her team.

AFC Wild Card games:
Houston Texans 22 Buffalo Bills 19 (after overtime). Josh Allen is light years removed from winning a playoff game. Bills controlled the game for 40 minutes but scored only 16 points and blew a 16-0 lead. DeShaun Watson produced a Eli Manning sack-avoding move to set up the GW-field goal in overtime.
New England Patriots 13 Tennessee Titans 20. The Evil Empire appears to be done. This could have been Tom Brady's last game in New England.

bmo reacted to MHSN in Winter Youth Olympic Games 2020
I just read on the news that Iran will send 6 athletes (3 boys 3 girls) to the YOG, it will be the biggest delegation ever for Iran in any kind of Winter Olympics
and in the article I read, the journalist asked about what's the point of participation in Winter sports when Iran didn't improve even an inch after decades of just participating ?! and I'm kind of agree with that. while most of winter sports don't even exist here but at least Alpine, Cross-country and snowboard have a long history here. specially Alpine skiing.
most countries never have snow so they have valid reasons to never achieve anything in winter sports but that's not the case here, the thing is nobody cares about winter sports so why bother to participate ?
but still I wish the best of luck for those 6 young athletes. hopefully they won't finish last here

Since 2020 is a couple days away, and the Olympics just around the corner, I'd like to start getting the thread ready for the Olympics. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what different types of posts should be made here. I'm finally into the swing of college so I'm hoping I'll be able to be very active this upcoming year and beyond!
