  1. What an exciting Uber Cup finals indeed.

    Japan versus China (1-0)

    WS 1 Japan

    WD 1 China

After playing for more than 2 hours finally the winner for the WD 1 match is over. Really need a lot of long grueling energy to play such a long WD match. Anyway the commentator already pointed out that the Japanese WD especially Matsumoto is already too tired that she could not even smash anymore. Wow can someone keeps on smashing nonstop for more than 2 hours? So energy sapping indeed. Anyway good luck to the team who will win later. Seems like my energy is running out already.

Basically Shi Yuqi didn't say too much useful in interview. He said he suffers from continuous injuries and he felt pain. He chose to quit at the match point is to avoid unexpected injury happens. If he's really that painful then he will not be selected tomorrow but without him, our chance to win is very low.

Thank you very much for telling me.

Shi Yuqi is a mystery today and he’s busy quarreling with his social media’s fans right now who are accusing him should not quit at the match point. So it’s also a mystery of our tomorrow’s squad now.

You are right about it. If China is really serious about winning the Thomas Cup tomorrow they will need Shi Yu Qi to play as MS 1. I am assuming that China 3 MS players are strong enough to collect 3 winning points. It is almost impossible I think for China MD to win over rank no 1 and 2 Indonesia MD players tomorrow. On another happier note China has an extremely bright chance to win the Uber Cup. That is why if Shi Yu Qi is really injured today then he cannot play tomorrow and the MS players from China will be weak.

Is it? What has happened to him?

  5. Indonesia won over Denmark and proceed to play in the finals tomorrow. Too bad only Viktor Axelsen could win the first MS match and the rest of his team mates all lose their matches.

    Denmark versus Indonesia (1-3)

    MS 1 Denmark

    MD 1 Indonesia

    MS 2 Indonesia

    MD 2 Indonesia

    MS 3 Not played

Well Denmark had a  very high chance of winning the MS 3 match since Shesar had a very negative h2h versus any Danish MS players. However Indonesia MD 1 and MD 2 is way too strong for Denmark MD players to win no matter how hard they tried. Well Anders Antonsen should have won his must win MS 2 match but squandered away his chances of winning it. In the end the exciting MS 3 match is not played today.

China won over Japan and proceed to play in the finals tomorrow. Too bad only Kento Momota could win the first MS match and the rest of his team mates all lose their matches.

    Japan versus China (1-3)

    MS 1 Japan

    MD 1 China

    MS 2 China

    MD 2 China

    MS 3 Not played

Not a new issue. He has pretty severe asthma and also had COVID for a period.

It's not unusual seeing him "give up" the 2nd game to regain energy for the 3rd. Therefore the match was pretty much lost when losing the 1st.

Sadly Christie just made it work out at the right time (he hasn't been too impressive through the tournament)

Yes Jonatan Christie has had very bad times with bad results. Commentator mentioned it too. Commentator mentioned that he nearly lost to a young unknown rookie for his MS match yesterday. So he is not impressive. But then you are right despite not playing well throughout the whole tournament, Jonatan Christie made his presence felt today. He played well today it seems. Anders Antonsen could have won the first set but squandered away those chances.

Yes you are right too. I forgot that he has asthma and Covid before.

  8. Who will emerge as the winner in the end?

    Denmark versus Indonesia (1-2)

    MS 1 Denmark

    MD 1 Indonesia

    MS 2 Indonesia

  9. Interesting points mentioned by the commentator. Anders Antonsen injury and seeking for medical treatment during the third set of the match. Anders Antonsen does not have the stamina to last him to play a three set match. He could be right. Anders Antonsen is practically not moving much during the third set of the match. I would agree with the commentator that Anders Antonsen lose the MS match he could have won due to his poor stamina issues.

  10. I think Indonesia should at least have take the initiative to change their third MS player. Perhaps they should just trust Chico Auro Dwi Wardoyo and let him play instead. That would bring more excitement to the third MS match. Chico Auro Dwi Wardoyo is a very good MS player and he is the silver medalists for World Junior Championship 2016. Surely he must be good to be able to win the silver medal at that time.
