I hope for Czech and France too, more chance for Polish from ranking. But furing EC Ukraine and Italy should grab quota too.
Yeah thank you. Now we have to rely more individual quotas. We did not qualify any team, there is still chance for a woman's rugby team but it will be hard. Now let's hope we have more individual quotas and 2 or 3 relay teams in athletics. Would be pity to have the smallest team in history for the Paris games. Chief or our mission said he counting the number somewhere between 80-120. Big range 😀😀

Yes, tomorrow we keep our fingers crossed for Fra and Cze. However, we still have 0 qualifications in women sector, which makes it impossible to show even 1 mixed doubles
Thanks, also hoping for Rampula do qualify. Anyways was thinking how about the US team as they have already selected Sanderson for the Olympic team despite Henry Leverett earned the quota. Let's see how the final goes.

Rapid Fire Pistol. There are 3 finalists who already earned the quota. For 2 quotas will be fighting Matej Rampula Keith Sanderson and Jean Quiquampoix

Really a bad joke that already qualified shooters take part in this qualification tournament.
I was also surprised. But if ISSF approved it, I guess some of them take it as a "training" for the Olympic tournament and I guess some federations might have it as an internal qualification tournament in order to decide who will take the Olympic quota.

50m 3 position - how many shooters make the cut to the qualification from each relay? Is it 30 from each??

Men's Sprint and Keirin - My prediction
So UCI hasn't released the quotas yet so I was thinking to do some prediction. As each event should have 30 spots so after the competition in Milton I would predict like that.
MEN'S SPRINT
Quotas from Team Sprint
2 quotas
2 quotas
2 quotas
2 quotas
2 quotas
2 quotas
2 quotas
2 quotas
Olympic Ranking - 1 quota
Quotas from Keirin - 1 quota
MEN'S KEIRIN
Quotas from Team Sprint
2 quotas
2 quotas
2 quotas
2 quotas
2 quotas
2 quotas
2 quotas
2 quotas
Olympic Ranking - 1 quota
Olympic Quotas from Sprint
Another possibility probably goes to the sprint. It looks like and may not be able to take 2 quotas, but not sure about the other riders and whether these 2 will be able to take 2 quotas or not. If not and the reallocation may go through Sprint instead of Keirin, then it should be 2 of these 3- also not sure whether Colombia would take 2 quotas. If takes 2 quotas, then it goes to and . But they may not because of the regulations as each country may be allowed to take only 1 quota.
I guess UCI may also make a decision based on ranking all 4 eligible countries in both events and take an average. In this option, surely may get it and then probably which is placed 16th and 17th when is placed 16th and 25th in the Olympic ranking. And if I add also :KAZ, their ranking is both events is 15th and 24th.
I also checked your prediction guys above. If and get the quota, it means that it goes to the first country currently below the line in both sprint and keirin. is first below the line in Keirin and is first below the line in sprint.
To summarize, based on the official document, it is surely mentioned and it will be reallocated to the highest ranked country that yet has not qualified. I think for other countries, it is a question whether and refuses the second quota and if so, in which event. Because their top athlete will surely participate in both events anyway 🙂
Now, I am hoping for to get the quota and their position is Olympic ranking is just a bit below the line in both events 😀😀

Yes you can qualify 2 individual riders in the sprint/keirin and technically, it is possible for it to be the same athlete that qualifies in both events.
Take Trinidad & Tobago as an example - it has been Nicholas Paul's results that have secured the quota in individual sprint and in keirin but they will be able to take Kwesi Browne as their second athlete.
It is more complicated for Israel and Suriname as they don't have a second eligible rider so they will not be able to take their second quota.
Thanks a lot. I have done exactly the same counting. I was checking..... surely have 2 eligible athletes, even though it is Nicolas Paul who has collected most of the points. Surely and will probably have to refuse the second quota or they "won't get it approved"? Anyways, how about, if you actually get two quotas by the same athlete who gets it in sprint and keirin and you want to take another athlete, but for example someone who has never competed in WC or WCH, maybe some national level. Are there any standards which the athlete they decide to qualify, must achieve? Any UCI points or someone who has participated in some certain events?
-
So I was checking wiki and the qualified athletes and I have some questions. Did not find the information but if one athlete gets a quota in sprint, it means he also has a quota for keirin. At the same time, can the same country get the quota for keirin, too? As the matter of fact, if you qualify a sprint team, you have up to 2 quotas in the individual sprint. But if you dont qualify a team but you get one quota in individual sprint and one in keirin, it means that you have also 2 quotas in both sprint and keirin, right? I am not so certain about this rule. But can you qualify 2 riders for these individual events you if you don't qualify a team? Thanks.

That player would play in singles and the top 10 becomes top 11.
The whole point is to have 86 men and 86 women compete.
So if there is one player who will compete in team, singles and also mixed doubles, it's considered as 1 quota, right?

It gets re-allocated to the singles world ranking. Mixed doubles field is capped at 16.
So those, who earned quota in mixed doubles but also have a high ranking in singles and they qualify through the ranking, their SINGLES QUOTA will be reallocated to the next highest ranked player in the singles ranking, right? Do I understand it right? 😁😁😁😁 If so, I guess there will be more reallocations? So I guess also the quota of Doo Hoi Kem will be reallocated to another highest ranked in womens singles. So as an example, if qualifies today, Robert Gardos and Sofia Polcanova are also high ranked in singles so their singles quota also would be reallocated to another highest ranked player, right? But how about those who for example have the same player based on team qualification and they all participate in singles and also earned quota in mixed doubles? It will mean another reallocation?

So there are 2 stages. There 4KO draws winner of each qualifies to Paris. The qualification process started and Olympic channel is broadcasting

sorry my friend but You are 100% wrong, the officiating in wrestling is not like that.
1) she was never even close to get a fall win
2) you can't challenge the fall/touche call. whatever the mat chairman (and not the center ref) says is final
3) passivity cautions are rare in freestyle, they do that only to break the deadlock, not when someone starts scoring. I mean the Polish girl would get a caution at the beginning of 2nd period (she was already warned at the end of 1st period) but then some actions happened , no need for a caution
4) and there is no extra point for holding someone on the ground! she got 2pts for exposure and that's it. it took almost a minute but that was just "one exposure"
not even a slightest officiating mistake in that match, nothing even suspicious
Thanks for explaining. I understand now better. Sorry I overreacted. I was hoping so much she will win the game so I was trying to find some bugs but there were actually none. Well, the life goes on, I still believe she can make it in Turkey at the Olympic qualifier in May :-)

Wooooow! I hope girl from Czech will qualify later. For me it was sensational. Second polish quota!
Sad that she did not make it. I believed in her so much. It was a tough game. Anyways, hoping she will earn the quota in May in Turkey. Fingers crossed ✊✊
Congrats to Poland on another quota 😊

In WW57, Surprisingly, Sjoberg is out in the first round. Tough match for Hanzlickova defeating 6:3 Anghel who defeated Sjoberg and only one match to win the quota against Choluj. Hanzlickova #1, Choluj #7. Paper favourite is Hanzlickova but going to be surely a tough match. In Rio, she received invitational quota, did not make it to Tokyo so hoping she gets the quota to Paris. 3 medals from ECH, including bronze from this year. I believe she can make it this time as the direct qualification .
Most wrestlers we had in Atlanta 1996, 3 in GR. 2004 was 2. Rest of the games only 1. This might be the first Games we have male and female and still hoping for a possible quota earning at the world qualification tournament by either Oldřich Varga GR 77kg or Marcel Albíni GR 130kg.

I feel like World Curling rankings are hardly an indicator of a teams talents in some cases, IMO Czech Republic is a way more consistent (and better) team than the Netherlands.
Well, team Klima is doing quite well. In past few years, nobody beated them at national champs so it's always his team to represent in the international events. Despite two members have changed since qualification tournament for Beijing 2022, they play quite consistent. Yeah, loss to is quite disappointing, but on the other hand, they play really good games against (almost won) and also good game against . Yeah, they won't make it to quarterfinals, but descent positions, probably in top 10 and acceptable for next worlds, as their goal is to manage direct qualification for Milano. Which also means, that next year, they really would have to make it to the quarterfinals 😀😀

73kg looks very interesting with Rahmat Erwin and Shi Zhiyong (hopefully healthy) battling but unfortunately I won't be able to watch it
if someone wants to make a list after it, there was only 1 significant result from Group B or C, Briken Calja with 333kg which put him in 13th place
Karem Ben Hnia (currently 14th) is guaranteed a place in Paris since there is nobody from Africa and Oceania in Group A to challenge him. (he beats the athlete from Madagascar by just 1 kilo)
lots of athletes are remaining in Group A but most of them are already in Top 10, there won't be much changes anyway. the big question is about Shi Zhiyong , I assume he has to win the event to convince the Chinese coaches.
Can you share link to live results, please??

Host quotas are 2 each per gender not 3. France can get 2 quotas additionally categories as host. But there are just 4 French lifters eligible 2 each in gender unless I missed a lifter or two as they didn't participate in enough compulsory events.
Oh sorry, my bad. Probably I misread the regulations. I thought there might be 3 spots per gender for every country including the host country.

Which quota you mean?
