  1. That is a nice feature, but overall I dislike the new design. The old one was completely fine, one of the best sports app UIs in my opinion. They removed a bunch of features, like cup standings and medal stats on the athletes' pages or the ability to follow an entire national team, not just individuals. Also why does the Predictor Challenge need to open separately in a browser now?
  2. Fantastic performance from Peťa yesterday!!! Let's hope that continues through the rest of the season. Also nice to see the team getting competitive again, congrats to Liensberger! Let's hope that at least the women's downhills in Zermatt will go as scheduled... Otherwise FIS might abandon this idea for next season.
  3. eliminated by in group stage again wow... First the men in 2018, now the women!
  4. Pogi noooo It's over now. Vingegaard with an inhuman performance this week.
  5. Vondroušová wooo The first unseeded finalist in the Open era too!
  6. This is seriously such an exciting Tour Last year it was my first time following the race closely, but I must admit I was already getting bored by the end of the second week. This year not at all
  7. Does anyone understand the current open sales phase? It says that tickets should be released periodically, but also that the current sale focuses on venues outside Paris. I'm not sure if that only applies to this batch of tickets or to the whole phase and there will be no more Paris tickets released outside of resale.
  8. Well, finally someone outside the Big Six (USA, CAN, SWE, FIN, CZE, RUS) and Switzerland is going to win a medal. It will be either Latvia's first or Germany's first since 1953
  9. Wow, with some of these biathletes I feel like I didn't even get to know them over the last few seasons and they're already retiring...
  10. Well, glad we had gotten 6 cheap tickets during the first phase, even if not all of them are exactly what we wanted. Was hoping to snatch one more slalom, fencing or tennis ticket this time...but no affordable ones remained when we got our slot yesterday. Hoping everyone else here will still be able to get what they wanted or close. Still with any ticket there's at least gonna be the option to watch other events on outside screens and feel the atmosphere inside the city. Sidenote: Our affordably-priced AirBnB booking for the event (partly paid-for already) got cancelled...of course.
  11. Simon Billy set a new speed skiing WR yesterday at the World Championships in Vars - 255.5 km/h! New World Record at the FIS Speed Skiing World Championships in Vars 2023 (fis-ski.com)
  12. This applies to all FIS competitions, but I feel like it's most relevant in cross-country. FIS has just announced full implementation of the fluor wax ban starting next season. FIS to fully implement fluor wax ban at start of 2023-24 season (fis-ski.com)
  13. IBU together with FIS has just announced the full implementation of the fluor wax ban from the 2023/24 season IBU implements full fluor ban (biathlonworld.com)
  14. And let's not forget Mari Eder (Laukkanen) also bidding farewell! That finish area celebration almost got me in tears, why would you do that to me Definitely one of the most emotional moments in biathlon since I started watching it.
  15. Alright, last race coming up for Chevalier-Bouchet, Olsbu Røiseland and Hermann-Wick
  16. Why must athletes' careers be so short It sometimes feel like they've just come into their prime...and boom, they're retiring. I don't wanna manifest anything, but if I had to guess as to the retirements on the men's side, seems Fak or Eder are most likely. Serafin Wiestner is also confirmed retiring.
  17. 87 Shiffrin is finally the GOAT. Now off to 100!
  18. Great race, obviously for Johannes and Tarjei it might as well have been an interval race. Congratulations to Ponsiluoma and our Czech athletes, though they haven't moved up the standings much.
  19. Greetings from Nové Město Unfortunately can't prove with a photo, the file is too big
  20. It doesn't look like there'll be another end of season north american trip like this one in future seasons...
  21. So many awesome biathletes of the past suffering from illnesses and on the verge of retirement Eckhoff, Roeisland, Hofer...
