So, Mexico scored 16.600 (5 balls), 17.200 (3 hoops and 2 pais of clubs) for 33.900 total all-around score with their group. Not terrible scores, but not exactly good scores too. The US scored 20.650 and 18.750 (39.400 in total). Now let's see what Canada and Brazil can do.

Also received a reallocated spot in the men's 49er event (2 quotas) in sailing. Only 5 boats will compete in 49erfx (ie the bare minimum to award medals).

Sorry to disagree with you, but it takes two to tango.
As far as Hamas is not a credible option for peace, which sadly just makes worse the international stance of the Palestinian people, neither is fascism like that of Netanyahu and his right wing cronies... they have been in clear violation of UN General Assembly resolutions for years, and they're crealy trying to supress the Palestinian State, which has the same right to exist and be recognized as such as Israel.
As long as both, Jews and Palestinians continue their inept attitude to confront and destroy each other, this conflict has both sides to blame.

I wont say Israel had made all "well" but, at least for me, the UN is an organism with 0 credibility, the Assembly have A LOT of countries which will vote against Israel for being Israel.
I agree with you in something too: palestina has the rigth to be a state, like Israel.......their neighbors had to lose many wars to understand that.

sorry but this is really your lack of knowledge about what's happening there. you can't take EVERYTHING from people, offer them nothing and then ask for peace ?! they are equally human like the rest of the world, not animals, Gaza is the biggest prison in the world, those people born, live and die their whole life in that "prison" in worst possible situation thanks to likes of Netanyahu, you can't expect them to be peace lovers. hatred creates hatred, and this circle never stops.
when people in Gaza voted for Hamas for the first time few years ago that was probably the best chance for "peace" because from then Hamas should be a responsible government and not just a fanatic group but the western world instead put more pressure on them, cut the financial help and made them much more radical. and now they are even making PNA radical. right now there is absolutely no chance for peace.

Brazil, Mexico, Cuba, Canada and the United States will send groups to the Baku World Cup. Now, this will be very interesting! All of the medal contenders at the upcoming Pan Am Games up against one another.

And this is exactly the reason why, though it is my favorite sport right now, rhythmic gymnastics cannot be taken seriously. We all know this sport is not known for diversity among medalists, but when Russian gymnasts receive scores that should never be awarded to them, this is outrageous.
The Code of Points implemented since 2017 increases the dominance of individual gymnasts from powerhouse nations (Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Belarus and, in recent years, Israel). It's like FIG wants the sport never to grow beyond the same old group of nations. It's still Bulgaria and former Soviet nations against the rest of the world, and this is frustrating. In group events, the only real surprises since 2017 were Mexico and Estonia, but surprise: Estonia is still a former Soviet nation. Lithuania has improved a lot in junior events as well, but then again, another former Soviet nation.

But we all know as long as "Mamma" Viner is alive, FIG Rhythmic gymnastics won't challenge her "protegees" scores.

Looks like Gantz’s party will win more seats, but the conservative coalition will hold more seats. Hopefully the Blue and White alliance can find a few more members.

qualify a team in eventing, get the remaining individual spots.
However, once all reallocations are applied, I'm quite sure that both Colombia and Ecuador will qualify full teams (it's rather surprising that they didn't do so directly). Puerto Rico should be able to get an individual spot (with their Olympic combination, so no worries about the minimum requirements).

Canada will send 16 swimmers to Lima (+4 more in open water). Only 2 men were selected, meaning no relays. Canada won medals in all 3 men's relay events in Toronto 2015.

Smh, at how stupid this national federation is.
Anyways, the team has some notable names, which leaves me some hope for at least one gold medal (but I highly doubt it)

From what I gather from journalists, lots of controversial decisions, unbalanced draws... the same as always.

mrv86 reacted to OlympicIRL in Totallympics Annual International Song Contest 2019
I decided to do a playlist of all my TISC 12-point picks to date. It's a varied bunch in terms of musical genres but each had that something special.
As of yet, the choice of the Irish jury has not gone on to win the contest. The choice of Malta (TISC Annual 2018) was largely at odds with the rest of the national juries (I still can't comprehend how such a great song didn't score much better), but Italy (TISC Open 2013) and Brazil (TISC Annual 2017) finished with silver medals and Canada (TISC Open 2016) finished with a bronze medal. Hopefully this year we can match with the eventual gold medal winner.
Here are the songs that took the maximum score from the Irish national jury at each of the first 11 editions of the contest. Feel free to make your own 12-point playlists too to re-live more memories.
TISC Open 2013 - Italy
TISC Annual 2014 - Australia
