Yeah Union players need some experience with Sevens or else they will be ran circles around. Raw talent can only go so far.

It won't work if they play no tournaments with the team beforehand. 

The promising talent 16 years old last year EYOF double gold medalist Renáta Jamrichová experienced yesterday her debut in Fed Cup. And managed to beat in 2 sets the 78th WTA ranked Nadia Podoroska.  
 
Not entirely 100% sure, but I suspect this was her first careers match against a Top 100 ranked player. Great debut. Way to Go Renáta !
