great! but I'd wait until news on the situation of the secondary ice arena and the speedskating track makes it clear on what's gonna happen here. in any case, Opening Ceremony, Short Track, Figure Skating and Hockey are already sure to be held here. the only sport still in the bubble is speedskating, as I wrote. I think there won't be any official statement soon, gotta wait until the end of the year, I fear.

That I absolutely agree with One would assume the drivers know though. If you know there can be a caution in the final lap, you might change from timing the move right, to making sure you're in front if at all possible. Or of course stick in second and time your move, but while taking the risk for a caution.

Nah. Think I got 6 or 7 tickets through the first draw. Then I won one ticket, got one or two during later stages in the central ticketing and one or two through the national reselling. The only last-minute ticket was for the men's handball final. Was quite a surprise to get that one.

As you said, top 6 is realistic goal for Ema, Gašper Brecl could end up in top 20 with better jump, because of "4 athletes per nation" limit. I have some hopes for Mixed event, because they were quite good in World Cup, so even here top 6 is possible.

I was watching the national championships livestream and it was pretty hilarious. All day you're watching athletes, mostly juniors, competing mostly for a title and a PB and in some rare cases the European indoor qualification mark. Then suddenly you're watching a world record run.
