I've updated the first post with the potential sports each nation may qualify in. I went through each event and wrote down which unqualified nations have a chance at qualifying (including wild cards/tripartites). This information is based on recent events and world rankings so as we get closer to the games and more athletes compete or nations fail to qualify in a sport I will continue to update the list. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Just remember, unlikely is okay, but not impossible. For Belarus and Russia I worked under the impression that they will return tomorrow (even though that's quite unlikely), but at the same time for other nations I worked under the impression that they will be fully banned. I am working under the similar ideals for North Korea for when/if they return. As we still have many middle size nations, I've only listed the sports to save space. If you want a full breakdown of a nation let me know and I can reply. I'll probably update the first post with events once most of those nations qualify. Here's the top 10 nations with the most events I gave them a chance at qualifying in. 1. Russia - 236 2. Hungary - 138 3. Mexico - 125 4. Kazakhstan - 123 5. Argentina - 110 6. Austria - 97 7. Portugal - 96 8. Belarus - 86 9. Finland - 79 9. Romania - 79 Unsurprising, the currently suspended Russia tops the list. If they were to be allowed back in tomorrow, there's really only a handful of events that they would have no chance at qualifying (mostly team sports), but would qualify at a normal games. That number will start to drop quite quickly in 2023 as they (and Belarus) continue to miss key qualifying events and ranking points. Hungary as number two is also not surprising, as besides the suspended Russia, they won the most medals in 2020 and had one of the largest teams out of the unqualified nations. After that you have the major continental powerhouses which benefit from continental quotas while also being a present at world qualifiers and then you have the remaining mid-sized European nations (Slovenia is 11th).4 points -

This thread is all about throwing some good ole’ Totallympics support behind smaller and lesser known NOCs during the qualification period and Games-time competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. Below you can find the suggested rules/guidelines for this thread. What determines if a NOC is small and/or lesser known? For the purpose of this thread, we will support countries without an active user, club, or following on Totallympics. The list of NOCs eligible for universality quotas would be a good place to select your new favorite teams from. Of course, users are welcome to propose other nations they think fit the criteria as well. How should a user choose a nation(s) to support? Users can choose two or three NOCs they’d like to support and provide updates on to start this thread. It would be nice if we could have users dedicated to following a certain NOC, so please try to avoid doubling up. Perhaps it would be wise indicate a first preference, second preference, etc. when choosing the nations you wish to support. Of course, users are welcome to support only a single NOC as well. Users could also support NOCs they feel aren’t getting enough attention still. There will be a list kept on the first post of this thread to help keep the thread organized as to which user is supporting which NOC(s). What should users post as a supporter of a nation? That’s mainly up to the user. Some suggestions would be some background info about your country, perhaps the history of your country at the Olympic Games, articles and other fun/interesting info about the athletes trying to qualify for or participating at the Games, updates/reminders/results for perspective/participating athletes, various multimedia (athlete/delegation social media posts, photos, etc.), and any other information of interest. If any other issues or clarifications about the thread are needed, they’ll be added to this post.1 point -

I’m bringing this thread back for Paris 2024 at the request of @rafalgorka. It wasn’t too active during Tokyo 2020, but it would be cool if we could do more with it for Paris 2024. Qualification season is ramping up, so choose some NOCs to support and keep us updated on their progress1 point

Arianna Errigo is going to give birth to a couple of twins next March, she announced on her social media. she won the individual silver and the team gold medal at the 2022 world champs when she was already pregnant she also said that she already got pregnant just after Tokyo 2020, but she lost the baby after 3 (very difficult) months, causing her a lot of mental troubles. coming back to the gym and practicing the sport she loves was the only reason she could recover from that tragedy and look ahead.
