    This will be a very silly random post, but it hasn't crossed my mind until now how great the simplistic design of the Paris 2024 emblem is. I wanted to create a header for the Hungarian Totallympics club very quickly and I realized that the Paris 2024 emblem would look great in our national colors. Red for the "hair", green for the "mouth", and the white is the flame. And boom, for something that only took a couple of seconds, it looks pretty good. The Paris 2024 logo really is one of the best ever.

    We just got our fancy new Team Ireland Club so what better way to open our first thread than with the exciting news of our first 2024 Olympic quotas! Ireland have just earned a team quota place for the Team Jumping Equestrian competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games courtesy of a 4th place finish at the World Equestrian Games in Herning, Denmark. The team consisting of Denis Lynch, Bertram Allen, Cian O'Connor and Daniel Coyle put in a battling performance in the final round of the team championships to climb from 9th at the start of day to 4th at the finish and inside the Top 5 which crucially awards Ireland the right to send a team to the Olympics in 2 years time. Ireland finished just less than 1 time fault behind Great Britain who claimed the bronze medal. Congratulations to all involved! Team Ireland 2024 is now officially up and running! The 5 Olympic qualifying team spots were allocated as follows: Cian O'Connor, Denis Lynch and Bertram Allen all advance to Sunday's individual final consisting of the top 25 individual performers at these championships.

    Bij de vrouwen juist op de vlinderslag (nog). Maar als Giele nog wat stappen kan maken, kunnen we ook daar de aansluiting maken. Op school hebben we Schouten, die steeds constanter wordt en vandaag ook de finale van de 100 school heeft gehad. Bij de mannen hebben we inderdaad niemand op rug, maar dat is al zo sinds Driebergen gestopt is.

    Sjöström zeker, maar Blume zwemt niet zomaar even 53,24. Anna Hopkin uit GB ontbrak ook, maar ook die zwemt niet zomaar die tijd. Steenbergen zou 5e zijn geworden op het WK met deze tijd. De top 4 zwom 52,67 - 52,98. Daarbij zat alleen Sjöström uit Europa.

    UCI has announced the World Cup calendar for next year (hence this thread instead of the 2022 thread), and I've rarely been so excited about a piece of MTB news The cross-country will start in.....Valkenburg We are going to book our hotel soon I think It's a bit of a consolation for losing Red Bull as main partner, let's hope it will at least be just as easy to watch everything as it has been for years thanks to Red Bull.

    EK Roeien 2022 München

    De gouden Olympische boot, de mannen dubbelvier, loopt de finale op het EK mis. Ze roeien weliswaar de vierde tijd van alle halve finalisten, maar eindigen niet bij de beste drie in hun halve finale (die echt wel veel sterker was dan de andere halve finale). Maar ja, ze hadden gisteren in de voorwedstrijd gewoon beter moeten roeien. Ondanks dat alleen Stef Broenink als grote (en bekende roei-)naam in de boot zit, is dit toch wel echt een grote tegenvaller. De coaches zullen naar aanleiding van dit resultaat wel weer gaan schuiven, want de dubbelvier is toch (nog steeds) het vlaggenschip van de KNRB. Roos de Jong en Laila Youssifou hebben de finale wel gehaald, overtuigend zelfs. Roemenië is normaal gesproken een flinke maat te groot, maar als ze GB voor kunnen blijven voor zilver zou dat al een mooie prestatie zijn. De vierzonder bij de dames haalt via de herkansingen ook de finale. Al met al doen de damesboten het vrij redelijk, maar valt het bij de mannen tegen. Alleen skiffeur Melvin Twellaar en de vierzonder (met de broertjes Rienks) maakten indruk.

Invece bene il giovanissimo Galossi dopo la controprestazione di ieri e Miressi ottimo (molto meglio dei mondiali) anche se Popovici sembra di un altro pianeta. Direi che l'unica nota negativa di stamane è il 100sl di Ceccon

    I campionati europei di nuoto sono partiti alla grande: oro e bronzo di Razzetti e Matteazzi nei 400 misti, argento per la 4x200 maschile e argento pure nel nuoto artistico. Oggi potrebbe essere una giornata memorabile in cui siamo i favoriti per almeno tre ori!!

    Because it's a Conmebol decision. Concacaf doesn't have to do the same. My guess of why they do it: south american women teams have so little continental competition (just a copa america every 4 years lmao) that they don't want to leave so many teams without doing anything for such long period. Brazil doesn't need it since they will always play the olympics and world cup. They want to throw a bone to the teams below.

    Mooi dat Wust voor de topsport behouden blijft! En volgens mij begreep ik bij een Avondetappe aflevering begin van de zomer dat het een kwestie van tijd is voordat Kramer bij Jumbo Visma aan de slag gaat. Beide organisaties spelen een belangrijke rol in opleiden van zowel schaatsers als wielrenners. Mooie ontwikelingen!

    A member of the Slovenian national team in cross-country skiing - 19-year-old Hana Mazi Jamnik - died in a tragic accident during a training session in Norway, the Skiing Association of Slovenia announced. A truck crashed into Kranjčanka shortly before 9 a.m. during skateboarding training in the Botshei tunnel on the road between Forsand and Joerpeland. As reported by Sportal, the victim was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Stavanger, but doctors were unable to save her life. Last year, Hana Mazi Jamnik won the title of world junior champion in skateboarding in Val di Fiemme in skating technique.
