  3. I don't know if anyone has already posted it but I have just found out a survey from Miami University about the new Davis Cup https://miamioh.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5i3hO7BbLSExpYO?Q_CHL=social&Q_SocialSource=twitter If you want to express your opinion about the new format this can be your chance!

  4. He is not going to retire immediately nor any other olympians. They will play Chinese league match and still may attend next year’s group WCH and Asian Games. I think the main reason is the commercial value. They will fade out in a very slow pace. Even Zhang Jike didn’t announce retirement. The other question there are three trials for this WCH, the champion of each trial will earn a berth. Ma Long didn’t won any of these. To be clear Fan Zhendong won twice and Liang Jingkun won once so three other persons are chosen by the association. The official reason of absence of veterans are to keep healthy and avoid injuries after highly competitive OG season.

  12. The longest term damage is trying to get a games for 2030 and longer. Most people around the world world do not like the IOC.

  13. China is triggered enough to run the financial pressure over lack of WTA tournaments even without Taiwan. WTA raised the purse for 1st round GS losers and so on, there is the big push for pay equality too. I wonder how is that possible with the loss of Chinese money? The long-term plans could blow right up now. The only reasonable replacement is Middle East. It would be hilarious if WTA had to stage events in Saudi Arabia to make up for the Chinese losses

  14. I am sure. Tibet, Hong Kong and Taiwan are all lost to the Western world. COVID has allowed China to call people racists whenever someone says "Chinese virus". NBC pays too much money for WOG to be held without Americans for instance. Nobody in USA would tune in to watch Russians and Norwegians win

  15. No sporting boycotts will happen. I'm amazed how delusional people are. The Tibet situation was much bigger in 2008 and they held the Games there. Money is more important to IOC than people realize. The days when they banned Ingemar Stenmark from taking part in WOG are long over

  27. Panna Udvardy won the W60 in Brasilia and is set to enter WTA Top 100. After Nuria Parrizas Diaz she is the second player this season to crack Top 100 playing mostly ITF events.

  30. Tennis could financially suffer badly this coming decade. The next Gen are pretty unpopular and will not bring in no where near as much revenue as the greats have done so. And now this meant the WTA will be in a financial hole as well. If a breakaway tour happens as Djokovic wants to run once retired then even the Grand Slams could be at risk.
