  1. It's been a few days, but I'll make it short and sweet. Thank you, @Dnl for hosting the show with everything thrown at you, and congratulations to @Hipooo on your first win. Also my congrats to @Wanderer and @Belle on your podium finishes It's nice to be among the handful of countries with a perfect attendance rate, and we're definitely keeping it going. Also, my thanks to those who voted for the United States: . I'd say a 12th place finish isn't bad, I was hoping for a top 5 finish, but this is nice. I will admit this edition isn't the greatest in terms of quality, tho. I really struggled to pick 12 songs to give points to.   4. Congratulations @Hipooo Thank you @Dnl for all of your hard work! Also thank you to everyone who voted for Greece and gave us 48 points! Unfortunately we finished in 29th place, although I am not surprised and personally I would not have given our song any points. We are one of the 15 countries that never missed a version of the song contests, however we are the only ones who never finished top 10. I hope this will change soon. I already have song ideas for both contests in 2022. Here are my personal votes (vs how many points Greece gave to them) 12 points- (11) 11- (12) 10- (4) 9- (8) 8- (0) 7- (2) 6- (5) 5- (6) 4- (0) 3- (7) 2- (0) 1- (0) Canada and Sweden were by far my favourites. Those two and USA were the only ones I knew before this contest, although Czech Republic also sounded familiar. Canada @intoronto I always liked, although I knew the modern version from the movie "Cars" and did not know about this earlier version, and Sweden @Belle was a song that I enjoyed a lot during my teenage years and always gives me good/happy memories when I hear it.

    Asian Games 2022

    Though I understand that OCA wants to make it step by step to get Oceania involved into Asian Games, I think Oceania should be counted on medal table and receiving identical medals. Furthermore, I think we should treat Oceania as Asian countries in terms of sports games or federations. I would like to see more OG quotas allocated to Asia and Oceania combined. The reason is quite simple. Australia takes advantage of current quota allocation system. Firstly and obviously enough, Australia earn a lot of team sports quotas almost in a free path as Oceania representative. Moreover, if Australia finds themselves cannot earn the free quota then they choose to join Asia federation and takes advantage of us, especially FIFA world cup. When they find the 0.5 Oceania quota is useless they just quit. So to be fair, I would rather Oceania joins Asia system wholly instead of picking some sports favoring themselves and I also would like to see Asian Games and other continental events more competitive with the Oceanian teams.

The defending Canadian champions, Team Bottcher, have started the Olympic trials 0-3 and are likely to miss the playoffs. 2006 gold medalist Brad Gushue and 2014 gold medalist Brad Jacobs are both 3-0 while former Canadian number 1 and 2017 trials finalist Mike McEwen is also undefeated at 2-0.

  13. I am little bit disappointed of lack of interest for this championship. The arena Is nearly empty for each session (i can not compare with previous championship, because it is first ECH which i attented). One "funny" moment. Organizators asked some school (students) to go there. It was really boring for them and so they made paper plane and it was landed on ice at moment when curlers was curling one stone. Finally they agreed to repeat this stone.

  21. I really shouldn't need to explain this. More famous doesn't equal better, yes, they may be more critically acclaimed, but that does not mean that their music is better only because they have more views on Youtube. Also, in the modern age of this industry, we tend to imagine that we as people are responsible for who gets famous, but there are so many games behind the scenes that nobody becomes famous without a reason, especially when we're talking mainstream fame. And no, I'm not only talking about the games that labels play - buying spots on the radio, having a different platform where they can pitch music to Spotify, millions upon millions of dollars in marketing, venue placement and all that good shit, I'm also talking about Spotify and Youtube algorhythms that work for people who are already ahead, not for emerging artists, and especially not for artists that are not coming from a country that's a major player in the music soundscape. Basically, more and more nowadays you're listening to what's put in front of you, and rarely do you look for ways to seek out music on your own, this was made apparent by Spotify and how people consume music through playlists and are not even listening to full albums most of the time. Artists like Avicii don't come out of nowhere, artists nowadays are massively produced and the labels paint a pretty picture to make you think they're hot and up and coming, but everything is planned out years in advance. You could see that by looking at credits and seeing what songwriters wrote songs for who and then went on to become famous artists themselves after years of grind in the industry making connections, oooor another good example would be a huge super star Taylor Swift having a huge tour and who is warming up the stage for her? Shawn Mendes, Troye Sivan, Fifth Harmony that were put there by their labels and are now all huge artists. Lenny never had the chance to become more famous than Avicii, does that mean that she should automatically lose to him? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

    Very tragic night here. First there was a fire at a retirement home that killed 9 people. Now, when i woke up, found out there was a Macedonian bus accident, in the middle of the night, with 52 people, 45 of which died, many children of them. They were 4 buses returning to Macedonia from vacation to Istanbul, when one of them hits the railing, flips over and bursts into flames. Only 7 people manage to escape. Our police/medics said they haven't seen such horrific scenes, when arriving. Macedonian PM and other diplomats are already here as well.

  27. The whole Russian team seems unlikely to make it to the US due to their vaccination status (Sputnik V). That would be outright stupid by whichever Russian authorities decided to give international athletes a vaccine which is not as widely recognized as others... Once again, it seems that Russian athletes are screwed by their own authorities
