  1. I wouldn't literally say zero, since there is a certain risk and uncertainty lurking around the corner in these times, but yeah...highly unlikely that it'll be cancelled. I can't see that happening. Also because I'd be angry for having my two week vacation approved for nothing then

  2. So sorry to see lame acts like and have a free pass to the finals just because they maintain the contests financially From SF1 I was sad that and didn’t qualify, mostly on their own stage failures, but instead that boring cheesy act and the woman that only sings about sluts, instead of actual admirable smart women, get a pass instead For SF2, I’ll be cheering for and guilty pleasure . Pray that stays out so they can stop imitating Colombia entering bums that can’t sing instead choosing people that know what a note is. Overall, here is my top 10: 10) 9) 8) 7) 6) 5) 4) And the 3 I would like to win 3) 2) 1)

  7. I will add my "5 cents". Olympics will not be cancelled, it's too late for that, too much qualification events are happening or already finished, 75% of athletes already qualified and prepare for life time chance to earn the medals. We had also many other sport events which weren't "super-spreader" and the Games also won't be this super-spreader as IOC and WHO are trying made Olympic Village and sport venues the safest places in the world right now. Japanese people and opposition parties are blaming current government for fourth wave, they have right, because Japan NEVER had proper lockdown as almost every country in the world had in March-April and then in October-January. Such things like banning drinking alcohol outside, closing shops after 21:00 and home office are laughable restrictions. If they would introduced real lockdown way earlier now Japan would have similar number of cases as Australia and New Zealand have. Also having 6k-9k cases per day in country with such huge population is laughable too. They are acting as people would die on the streets and nobody can't get help from nurses and doctors... Most of countries at such number of cases opened everything and are trying return to normal life. But all those protest doesn't make any sense as it would hurts the athletes the most (they will be for 99% separated from Japanese citizens) and cancelling the Games will not improve current situation and additionaly it would destroy worldwide good opinion of country of Japan, which always was presented as the best prepared country to everything and the most developed, sometimes few years above the rest of the world. The real chance for improving situation is vaccination system which doesn't work in Japan, why? Such smart and well behaved people like Japanese are afraid for vaccines? Hilarious, really. Without those vaccines they will have dozens more waves and will never ends there.

  9. Looking at the 1st day brackets, some quotas are already very predictable. I mean I know this sport is unpredictable in general but not really when the gap is too big. even though we had lots of big surprises in Bulgaria during the European OQT. I highly doubt doesn't qualify in men's 80kg. he only has to beat a Syrian refugee and the winner of KGZ/KUW ! bottom half also looks easy for . maybe only Qatar can do something here. in women's 67kg we already know one and probably both ! UZB girl will beat QAT easily. it will be and as usual lower weights are more competitive. in men's 68kg. and are in the same half. one of them will go to Tokyo. bottom half looks much more interesting with 3 or 4 candidates. and women's 49kg. at first look I thought our girl Momenzadeh has an easy draw until the SF where she has to face the Asian Games gold medalist from TPE. but it seems that Palestinian girl is good too. but still most probably it will be between and with TPE being the favorite. in top half it's between and with outside chance for HKG.

  12. Well totally agreed by the suggestions given that there is not much point to discuss about the cancellation of the Tokyo Olympics now. Anyway there is still no confirmation from IOC yet. Just need to wait till July and then the truth will be revealed by then.

  13. Well this is a closed topic now. Why would you want to make yourself more anxious discussing it again. Better discuss about the medal predictions of your nations. Btw @up and down you are from Australia who is absolutely convinced about the games happening. They are 5 steps ahead of all nations in world as they have unveiled kits, opening ceremony uniforms, detailed about playbooks and launched their teams in most sports.

  14. I mean it's in two months time, too much money has already been invested, networks are preparing without any chance of cancelation. Yeah, we could have something like an earthquake God forbid or some sort of chinese rocket coming back to Earth again but it won't be canceled due to Covid that's for sure.

  16. Zero chance the Games will be cancelled at this stage. Japans cases are lower per head than Irelands and we are opening up again. All the test events in Japan have ran without a hitch. Most of this is just 'noise' from internal Japanese politics. There is an election this year after all.

  21. Undoubtedly, she's gonna do more harm than good I fear. Without her the current squad could win should win an Olympic medal in team ,quite confident about that. We do have a few missing teams though but without tournament practice I don't know what to say. They have made a Tokyo like field in their respective countries while Korea could be safe to win medal, not necessarily gold, competing with themselves and others is surely different. So that's something exciting to watch. I haven't seen much of Jang Minhee at the world circuit so now that she's selected I wonder about her nerves during Tokyo and her performance might decide where Korean Team stands at Olympics.

  23. I think there is no update in qualification system . It is misunderstanding from your federation Form day1 the rule is that up to 18 athletes fro world "not all 18" will qualify from world cup As per calculation there is 71 qualified athletes in mens if we counted highest 18 athletes in each event and so Oliver singlet in 3m springboard and Isaac Souza and two noshida in 10m platform will not qualify In women there is 73 qualified players so & in 3m springboard and & in 10m platform and one from & and will not qualify

I don't know why Aida is still on the team, with other ladies like our 2012 olympic bronze medalist they have never had any consideration and has been put out of the team but Aida have not produced any notable result since Rio where she bombed miserably and her press interviews and words were just awful and so full of ego that made me lost all the respect I had for her. If Mexico gets the team spot for the Games I pray we don't have Roman in the team or we will suffer big time at the Olympics. I think that for 2 straight games our women's archery team have deserved that elusive medal and failed most in part thanks to low scoring arrows from who? Aida

  25. Oh boy. This is going better and better The organizers finally opened the training arena to the teams. But since it is 10 km from the "official bubble area" with hotel and both stadiums, the teams has to travel there by bus, but since they are not allowed to use any dressing rooms or showers outside the bubble they have to change their clothes in the stadium locking room and go to the bus in their complet hockey equipement and skates the same obviously apply for the return back to the bubble area Poor goalies ! this is inhuman torture pics and video. 28. Magnificent performance by Mexico Alejandra Valencia 670, while Ana Vazquez and Valentina Vazquez at 667 in the ranking taking 4th, 5th, 6th position. I guess if they repeat the same performance next month they'll get easy matches and qualify and more importantly Aida Roman shouldn't join this team. @mrv86 Am I right
