Poll 6/100 | Who will be the medallist in Rythmic Gymnastics Group all round ?
Laraja and one other reacted to thiago_simoes for a topic
Russia and Japan for sure. The third spot could be a total surprise, such as Uzbekistan, but I doubt it. I'd say Bulgaria, but Italy and Israel could take its place. Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Belarus would be the dark horses. Unless China has major upgrades, I believe they have no chance of getting a medal. It's hard to predict anything else at this point because we still need to know which nations will qualify. Europe: I don't think Spain will qualify. Turkey is more likely to qualify, but Germany, Finland or Estonia could also pull of a miraculous qualification. Of course, Ukraine might get the European quota, what means the WCh quota would be reallocated. Americas: Mexico is the clear favorite here. US and Canada are its nearest rivals. Brazil has suffered with major problems and, now, I'd say we have no chance at all of qualifying. Oceania: It's either Australia or New Zealand, but Australia has the edge. Still, either nation will be the weakest of the bunch. Africa: I'm not sure if Egypt's qualification will be uphold because apparently two gymnasts from the group tested positive for doping. I don't think any other nation from Africa follows the minimum requirements for qualification, so we shall see what FIG will do. Asia: Uzbekistan is the favorite for qualification. It's leaps and bounds ahead of the remaining countries available for a quota. South Korea and Kazakhstan are the only other nations which would be interested in the quota, but they are considerably behind Uzbekistan. Maybe Thailand would be interested too, who knows?2 points -
No worries, Juventus' owners, the Agnelli family, have been buying referees for a century. They probably still have a few hundreds of them employed as butlers in their villas and can give them a script to follow any day.2 points

These 100 polls are going to make me realise how little I know of many Olympic sports! I wonder how many more there will be where my vote is worthless like in shooting and rythmic gymnastics.1 point -
I believe he is one of the favorites, top 3 probably alongside Saritov and whoever Ukraine sends (only if they send someone better), two European wrestlers will qualify most probably in this weight. it will be between Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Italy, maybe Germany I was surprised by his poor performance in Hungary, he couldn't penetrate that German guy's defense (maybe just a bad matchup) he was much better today, I mean some people in Russia expect that Zhabrailov guy to challenge Sadulaev. but I'm not sure wrestling here 2-3 weeks before the last chance qualifier was a good idea. this is not Tennis or Badminton where you can participate weekly, you need enough rest between competitions specially if you cut weight (I assume Baran doesn't)1 point

the first day wasn't really "great" , most matches were boring. specially in the semifinal. still some interesting matches, Karadeniz comeback against Odikadze, Gulaev beating Kentchadze (therefore eliminating Russia in that weight) Radoslaw Baran of Poland also did great against the Russian nationals winner Zhabrailov (who is suppose to become the next big thing) and was leading 3-1 until the last 10 seconds but then ... but after all Russia will have 4 in the final 57: Mongush vs Atli 65: Shakhiev vs Bienkowski 70: Kasumov vs Bayramov 79: Gulaev vs Alekma 97: Zhabrailov vs Karadeniz1 point

Ice Hockey 2020 - 2021 Discussion Thread

I'm sorry, but it's expected, as you have a team in the league and a powerful tv network owns the media rights... sometimes living in a Country like Italy with no connections to high level hockey is an advantage, so we can easily access the free stuff all around the hockey world... sometimes, instead, it's a shame, as we can't access certain stuff in any way (and the Finnish Liiga is the worst example of them all...we can't even watch the 2-min highlights of those games )...1 point -

and while Russia and Czech republic just played the first game of their final series, the Austrian "open" ICE Hockey League is almost ready to proclame their champions, as the Final series between HC Klagenfurt and HC Bolzano/Bozen is already on the score of 3 games to 1 in favour of the Austrians... here's a recap of the first 4 games... I don’t know either. The weights she achieved is not satisfactory enough for the team. So I can’t say she is secure for the Olympic ticket.1 point
-
I won't say absolutely, but most likely Li Yajun is out. Otherwise it's unfair for the champion since everyone knew it's a crucial trial.1 point
-
For me, Li Fabin is safe for Tokyo since no rivals there. Liao Qiuyun and Hou Zhihui are competing for 1 quota in my mind. No one is secure right now I guess. Each of them have some shinning part in coach team's consideration.1 point

and in todays 2nd match another amazing performance the team lost to CZE 3-4 after penalty shoot-outs. and the young Martin Chromiak even did this "Michigan" Just click on the video and enjoy1 point
-
Maybe I can predict after the ACH since I actually have no idea about their capability right now. But Hou Zhihui is not safe even with the WR since she lost to India in CJ and we don't know her potential is in snatch. It's somehow like a gamble but China wants 100% certainty in Women's weightlifting.1 point

Oh that is exactly the same for me, those things are all up to my dad I'm excellent at the more simple physical work though. Think carrying pieces of wood up to where they need to be (which are just too heavy or long to be done by one person), lifting stuff up, holding stuff in place while he tightens it and so on. In this household everything that requires any tool is done by either my dad or @brunamoura Even someone who is excellent with tools and such can have life made a lot easier with a simple extra pair of hands.1 point -
There is no official national trial before. It’s the coming Asian Champions seen as national trial.1 point
-
China announced the list and claimed it's seen as an important national trial. Women Huang Ting and Men Feng Lyudong are out. @MHSN1 point
-
I have no idea about the list. But the Asian champions allows 10 athletes per gender so it’s still not easy to say who will grab the Olympic quota. I am pretty sure only Asian champion will get the quota still it’s not a guarantee. Based on my searching, all 2019 WCH champions are preparing for it. Edit: I found a list of 11 athletes per gender attended a NT internal competition for the preparation of Asian CH on March. Women: Hou Zhihui, Jiang Huihua, Liao Qiuyun, Li Yajun, Luo Xiaomin, Deng Wei, Huang Ting, Zhang Wangli, Wang Zhouyu, Kang Yue, Li Wenwen Men: Li Fabin, Chen Lijun, Huang Minhao, Feng Lyudong, Shi Zhiyong, Yuan Chengfei, Lyu Xiaojun, Li Dayin, Tian Tao, Tian Fuxuan, Yang Zhe1 point

Football European Super League

The biggest scandal in sports is boiling. Various medias are reporting that 12 of the richest clubs have agreed to the Superleague and it will be unveiled tomorrow! Those in question are: Juventus, Inter, Milan Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid Chelsea, Man. U, Man. C, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham German and French teams have rejected the idea. FIFA/UEFA came out with a big statement, that any club and their players who take part in such a coup will be thrown out and banned from any International, National and National Team competitions and lawsuits for 50 billion will follow. I hope they do go and ban them all. I am sick and tired of the rich getting richer and all the kneeling that has been done to them in the last 15 years. But their greed is endless.. Case point yet again, was the new CL format that was going to be voted, which shockingly benefits only the biggest clubs and would introduce the Wild Cards, if you fumble in the domestic league.. This thing ruined basketball in Europe and i thought football was way bigger to happen to it, but here we are. I hope they go further and have every Broadcaster that buys the Superleague to never have any other football rights given to them.0 points
