This is so devastatingly sad. I met Lara in 2015, and she was a nice person. Condolences to her family, friends and teammates.

The plan is to start the draw at 15:00 (GMT +1) tomorrow. Tomorrow morning and afternoon is quite busy for me so I will let you know if I need to put the draw back a couple of hours in case. Firstly I will reveal the participating users. Then I will reveal the nations who will be participating. We then will proceed with the draw (nations will be divided into different pots based on their region / continent to provide an even spread). Finally @Olympian1010 will reveal the logo once the draw has been made. After that the participating songs will be revealed in various posts, group by group. I will spend Sunday updating the first post with the results of the draw and the links to each song and figuring out how to sort out how to allocate the judges to the various matches.

I can confirm that I have either entered or not.

Devastated to hear the news of her disease and her passing. Lara van Ruijven was an amazing athlete and showed an incredibly enthusiastic and likeable personality in her media presence. A massive loss for short track and Dutch sports. The Dutch shorttrack team is an incredibly tightknit team. I hope they can support and comfort each other.

meh! I'm still eating salmon regularly (in all forms, roasted, smoked, raw -in sushi/sashimi) and I've not been infected... and it's almost always the super-tasty Norwegian salmon (sometimes it's the wild red salmon from Alaska/Canadian Pacific though)... I fear you have to search for new suspects (shrimps and crabs are also not a good option, as I'm eating regularly also those kind of sea foods -I love fish and sea food, if someone has not realized it yet )...

Very questionable.. Come on these are marbles. Felt like Round 6 of an athletics field event final with those at the end doing way better than those who are at the beginning. If same teams are winning it doesn't make fun. It should be unpredictable but rather it's following real sport event finals.

Hahaha. Spoken like a true American Real talk though, I didn’t like it either like I said in my original post. It wasn’t the most interesting to watch, and the results seem more questionable than the other events (based on a) where the final measurement is made and b) teams at the end seem to have an advantage).

Also, Oooooooooooooooooooooooooo! That’s 2 wins out of 4 events for the Orangers! My heart will not be able to handle the rest of the events if we’re actually going to have a shot at this title. @bmo It’s shaping up to be a great competition between our teams.

Event #4 Newton’s Cradle This was a new event to the Marble League. I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of it, but it’s always nice to see them try new stuff. The scoring seemed a bit skewed towards later runners though.
