Here's my source: https://acsweb.ucsd.edu/~ptchir/ John Lysak is the oldest living Olympic Games participant. He will turn 106 years old in August. Folke Alnevik is the oldest living Summer Oympic medallist (bronze in 4x400 relay 1948). He turned 100 years old on New Year's Eve. Agnes Keleti is the oldest living Olympic champion. She is actually older than Elda Cividino but only made her Olympic debut in 1952, some 16 years after Cividino. Celina Seghi is the oldest living Winter Games participant (4th in downhill & combined in St. Moritz 1948). She turned 100 years old in March. Carl-Erik Asplund is the oldest living Winter Olympic Games medallist (bronze in 10,000 speed skating 1952). Viktor Shuvalov is the oldest living Winter Olympic champion (Ice Hockey center, 5 goals/2 assists in the 1956 Games). Apparently all the medallists from St. Moritz 1948 are no longer alive. The last Oslo 1952 champion passed away in April of last year ( Lydia Wideman, gold in 10km cross country).2 points -

If we take an example of current Tokyo rank situation, only MD (Jason Ho Shue/Nyl Yakura) qualified by rank and WD+XD used the continental representative place quota. This means Canada can send all 3 since this condition satisfy the rule where no NOC can qualify athletes/pairs in more than two events through the Continental Representation Place system. It's just a confusing labelling by BWF between athletes who used a CR quota and just a 5-continent marker. In Rio 2016, US doubles athletes were in the exact situation (only WD qualified by rank) so I think none of the 3 Canadian pairs will be screwed this time (unless BWF decides to smash the rules they created themselves).2 points

Tokyo Summer Olympic Games 2020 News

Right, that does suck, but I think of it this way. If the Olympics happen next year, yay! If the Olympics don’t happen, at least we’ve saved all those events to the best of our ability by pushing them back to more plausible dates.1 point -
So, it sounds like ASO wants the Tour to start june 25 next year. putting the Grand Depart in Copenhagen between UEFA Euro matches on june 21 and 28. I guess it could be possible as it would have the ITT in Copenhagen on a rest day in the EURO meaning the 2 events won't collide. But the great pictures from Roskilde Festival would be pictures of thousands waiting to enter the camping area1 point

When you think of the many thousands of people who did everything they could to avoid this disease but had few resources and ended up succumbing to the disease would it even be worth a tear if some of these ultra rich playboy tennis players who laughed at the prospect of catching this disease ended up dying ? Maybe nobody deserves to die of coronavirus but some are more worthy of sorrow than others1 point

Every city is not perfect. Detroit is worse than LA. Honestly, the flaws is why I love it (besides crime, I don’t like crime).1 point -

There are apparently five participants of the 1936 Berlin Games still alive. None of them won a medal in 1936 though. John Lysak (canoeing) Etsuko Komiya (athletics) Iris Cummings (swimming) Elda Cividino (gymnastics) Joan Langdon (swimming)1 point -
