Methinks yes, and even more for Ainslie, at best you can consider it in the "same" event if an event is replaced by another one, which is not the case here.1 point -

There is a ranking, points are given for last 2 World Championships and the last Continental Games- but for Asia they considered the Asian Championships, the Asian Games do not count because not all weight categories were present. First 4 boxers are seeded, the rest are drawn.1 point

The series of Rafael Nadal’s rituals - Nadal takes a freezing cold shower, 45 minutes before the match. - He wears both socks at the same height. - He carries one racket onto the court, and five rackets in his bag. - Takes off the jacket while jumping, facing the audience. - He always places his bottles in the same exact position. - Jumps at the net during the coin toss. - Runs to the baseline for warmups - He places his hair behind his ear and fiddles with his shorts or underwear before each serve. - Crosses the sidelines with his right foot only and avoid stepping on it. - Nadal uses a towel after every single point. - He ensures his opponent crosses the net before he does during a changeover. - He sips his energy drink and then his water, always in the same order.1 point

Well nothing about the seeding, as I said I only know first round opponents for our boxers and I can tell you none of your male boxers will qualify with one win ! because both of your heavier boxers will face Iran in Round of 16. and there will be another Iran-China in Round of 32 tomorrow at 81kg.1 point
-
it seems I was very optimistic when I said then will post the draw in 2 hours. I don't know when that IOC task force will publish it. Iranian boxing federation only published first round opponents for Iranian boxers, we will have lots of IRN/CHN in the first round none of them will face KAZ or UZB in the first round which is a good thing. even though considering our current level any boxer will be considered "tough" for our boxers.1 point

Shaking hands has basically stopped here, but everything else goes like we are used to. Luckily, in Germany only few people kissing each other on the cheeks to say hello Today, my employer has decreed that everyone has to do home office for the entire March if there is no urgent occasion to meet people in person. That means I have to come to office exactly once this month for a meeting1 point -

I remember that disastrous feeling during the Lillehammer Youth Winter Olympics when there were any Totallympics... So glad that the Totallympics project found new courage and desire to continue. Obviously many will argue the new version is not the original Totallympics with the main focus on all results from all different sports in one place lost (honnestly I am one of them...) but different circumstances forced us to take this new path. But obviously, it is very good that our community has not died out and we are moving on. Happy birthday Totallympics and to all our old and new Totallympians !1 point

I read a US political piece but that was over 10 years ago that everything Netanyahu does is fuelled by his anger over his brother's death (esp. when it comes to West Bank settlements). Ramallah, Gaza Strip and Hamas are the resident bad guys but world terrorism has moved forward a lot in the last few years to the point these guys look like complete amateurs. Car bombs and knife attacks don't mean a thing in the global terrorism picture anymore.1 point -

[PREDICTION CONTESTS] Discussion Thread
Monzanator reacted to Wumo for a topic
Final Standing available here toulousain Dunadan dcro What a battle for the first place! One point separated 1st and 2nd place. In the end, it was @toulousain who came out as the victor. The single perfect prediction in contest turned out to be very important. It's already @toulousain's second gold medal this year. He is the first to win two medals this season. A big congratulation once again, @toulousain! He was close to win yet another gold medal, but he had to stay in the 2nd position on the final day. When @Dunadan choose to participate in a prediction contest, he is almost guaranteed to win a medal. An impressive contest once again from his side. Likely not the last medal we will see @Dunadan win this season. Congrats and huge respect to you, @Dunadan! @dcro follow in toulousain's footsteps, as he secures himself another medal this season. Many strong predictions from his hand brings him a well-deserved bronze medal in this contest. Second bronze medal this month. Congrats, @dcro! You can look back on a good month in Totallympics prediction contest for you. @Agger and @PakoNatxo have been really close twice today of winning a medal. A bit of bad fortune for both of you. However, you can both be proud of two great contests. @Giovanni Gianni Cattaneo continues a good season start with a terrific 5th place. @Monzanator didn't win his second medal today, but a marvelous final day place him in the upper tier for the second prediction contest of today. As usual, thanks to all who participated! A busy February has come to an end for the users. March has already begun, and the first month of the Spring for many users will be less crowded. Due to the ongoing worldwide spreading of COVID-19, many sport events have been cancelled or postponed. This has also affected some of the suggested predicton contests for March. At moment, we will have one prediction contest in March. The Prediction Group will discuss if it will be a Women's Curling WCH contest or a Figure Skating WCHs contest. You will be noticed soon. Lastly, I will update the General Standings and Medal Tables in one of the upcoming days. That's all from me, your prediction contest manager, Wumo.1 point -

The cover-up at the beginning is definitely wrong and the death of Dr. Li Wenliang triggered great anger of public. Lots things the government have to recall and improve after this outbreak. But I really don't think people should use this as a leverage to judge China's system, government, ideology again, at least not this very moment. No one could predict this virus so contagious at the beginning and since it's already happen, What we should do right now is making every effort to contain it and make people's life back to normal as soon as possible. Actually Chinese people are not that innocent to be manipulated by government. Don't live in media and talk to your Chinese friend.1 point

Actually 5million people went out from Wuhan is not the people we should blame. Most of them didn't know they are in a very dangerous situation and they are not aware that they may be patients. They are just normal Chinese spring festival migrants to their hometown for family gathering or taking a vacation somewhere with family. The number 5 million is no big difference from past years. They are also victims like everyone else in Wuhan. If you have to make someone bare this responsibility, it should be the government. They announce it's infectious between humans too late. So the big migration already happen and lots people already infected. It's 20th Jan night when people know it's infectious and 23th Jan announce the lockdown which effective from 10am that day.1 point
-
s It's the typical reaction of Chinese government when facing some uncertainties. Government tend to cover things up to maintain to stability and not to create panic emotions. Stability is the top priority in China. But they are not scientists or doctors, they can't predict how contagious and fatal it is. When the first trustworthy expert told people it can be infected between human on state-run media, it is already 20th Jan. Things are already beyond control.1 point
