  1. Yesterday was indeed an awesome day for the Mongolian league with 4 tournaments and 400,000 points gained. Today they played only 3 tournaments, rumor has it that players asked for a lunch break. Hopefully this selfish act won't hurt their chances to qualify.

  4. This annoys me. I'm doing WADA's online ADeL ALPHA course (about doping) and there's some characters in there to set the stories and so on. Now there's this one. "Downhill skier", ugh. It's alpine skiing or freestyle skiing (or any other form of skiing), downhill is only an event within alpine sk....oh wait, MOGULS?! Oh come on.

  5. tbh, there's nothing new or underdeveloped in 3x3 basketball...but this isn't the real 3x3 basketball, the same kind of game you can find in all the playgrounds around the world (and especially the big US cities, NY and L.A. above all)... it's just the same fiba basketball, but played by only 3 men/women per team... and this qualification system is just criminal...to say the least...

  6. Massive respect for Nagornyy! What he achieved today is almost unbelievable. Mikulak jumped from 27th to 7th. What a comeback! And how awesome it is to have a Filipino as one of the top 10 all-arounders in the world? Fantastic!

  7. It's also about the brand. Nike is a brand more than money making machine. I predict they will weather the China storm and just keep doing their job once the media storm calms down. After all, USA is one country where Nike doesn't manufacture their products at all. Everything is manufactured outside of the country - in like 40+ countries including China, Thailand and Sri Lanka etc. This is reality. Daryl Morey can have his freedom of speech but he's not closing down 700 factories all across the world thanks to one stupid tweet

  8. What was the reason to accept this in the olympics? It's too new and underdeveloped, there barely are any 3x3 specialists. It took rugby sevens like 20 years of having an established world series to be accepted in the games. FIBA invented this trash in one day and the next they are accepted by IOC???

  10. Since we have the one boat per nation rule, they are actually mathematically guaranteed a quota. Potentially boats from the B Final will also qualify. Edit: I guess technically we could have a scenario where Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia and Zimbabwe finish with the same rank and all four nations choose the same gender

  15. very disappointing performance by Asia Lanzi...she only ended up the semifinal round in 10th place overall and so she wasted her best chance to sum up quite a few points in the OQR (even if actually I don't know if it would be better to see her finishing last at the Olympics or not seeing her in Tokyo at all)...
